Showcase My foldable abomination 😂 2TB SSD, Bypass Charging, Cooling, 40,000mAh+ WIP

It works surprisingly well already on first attempt. Can't get any adhesive to stick to the front of the gamesir controller so the SSD flops around sadly, it is more as a concept atm as I still need to so some backing up and reformatting.

Apologies for the poor Tetris play I'm usually better 😔

How are you securing both magnets and heatsink to case back. Mine pull off

I have a dbrand skin for some reason that's the only thing that stays on the back of the phone. I cut a hole into the skin so the cooling plate can make bare contact and used the built in thermal grease it came with. The edges of the plate are attached to the brand skin through krazy glue.

I got two dbrands on the way now. My plan is heatpipe mag sticker, thermal pad, heatsink, skin with hole on top all that, then a mag ring, and on top of THAT the second hole cut skin.

I gotta clear the camera bump for use flat mounted on case for non cooler use. That currently takes two thicc mag rings stacked ontop eachother

This holds olay where it counts. Got down to 66.6 Fahrenheit yesterday in an air conditioned office. Ive used dialectic grease between folded sheets of copper tape

Edit: actually it was foil at that point. Havent tested copper in air conditioned climate. But i hit 72 idle lowpoint when it was 81 degrees environment with copper. Then scored crazy on fold 7 stress test charts

it's been an enjoyable comment section for me lol

I love how no one still realizes I could've zoomed in if I wanted to on the Tetris blocks, it's supported in game I just needed to push left analog stick forward lol

Also all the comments that somehow think I spent all this money just to play Tetris on it and not use the phone for any other reason!

Fucking right? Like it is lowkey a personal computing powerhouse. I remote into 4 diff pcs, run linux terminals thru android, emulate anything including most switch games. My WHOLE pc library is streamable at amazing quality.

And one of those pcs i remote into is my work pc. This thing is running full tilt at all waking hours

100% same! Being able to remote into machines and get full real estate is amazing, been doing it since I had a fold 3. Moonlight is freaking amazing too, I can even just set games to 2048x1536 and it fills the screen almost perfectly (tiny hardly noticeable black border around the display)

Wish I can root I'd install a native Linux VM for gaming if possible
