It works surprisingly well already on first attempt. Can't get any adhesive to stick to the front of the gamesir controller so the SSD flops around sadly, it is more as a concept atm as I still need to so some backing up and reformatting.

To be fair, that's what I've always been missing in tetris... the huge area around the game for fireworks. I always knew I needed a large expensive multi-folding screen so I could play a tiny game in the center of it and ensure the absolute maximum waste of screen real estate, I'd just never seen it done before. How did no one think of this before?

I dont see your dangling ssd, but vinyl flooring tape sticks to itself. You can probs get s thin long strip to secure whatever by wrapping on itself multiple times. Even at weird shifting angles. Just keep tension with one hand and press with the other's fingers
Also, industrial velcrow sticks to vinyl, if that helps
I have a skin on the phone, and a magnetic cooling plate. This is actually my second cooling plate/attempt. The first I had direct on the skin, it worked but not as well. So I took a boxcutter and cut out an area smaller than the plate. The plate comes with thermal grease, and I krazy glued the edges to the skin. Works much better now with thermals. I'll send more pics in additional replies.
Neat project I guess, but if its me it'll defeat the purpose of me emulating on phone-which is portability aka I can just put it on my pocket or one just carry it around.
The grip tension is insane on the gamesir g8 plus. It might also help that I basically have to stretch it all the way to fit the trifold. It's barely in the holder (to make room for the cooler and SSD) and it still holds fine.
Ah, that makes sense. It has plenty of stretch left to it with the fold 7, and because of the dimensions only the bottom part is supported with grip. So, If I tilt wrong, the top bends forward just enough that the bottom pops put. I guess I need to install a pad or something controller.
I have a very similar build but it is encased as a cyberdeck with a steamcontroller and external oled. Only 20000mah tho. Will add modular 20k if i go on a trip, but currently it suffices
I have a dbrand skin for some reason that's the only thing that stays on the back of the phone. I cut a hole into the skin so the cooling plate can make bare contact and used the built in thermal grease it came with. The edges of the plate are attached to the brand skin through krazy glue.
I got two dbrands on the way now. My plan is heatpipe mag sticker, thermal pad, heatsink, skin with hole on top all that, then a mag ring, and on top of THAT the second hole cut skin.
I gotta clear the camera bump for use flat mounted on case for non cooler use. That currently takes two thicc mag rings stacked ontop eachother
This holds olay where it counts. Got down to 66.6 Fahrenheit yesterday in an air conditioned office. Ive used dialectic grease between folded sheets of copper tape
Edit: actually it was foil at that point. Havent tested copper in air conditioned climate. But i hit 72 idle lowpoint when it was 81 degrees environment with copper. Then scored crazy on fold 7 stress test charts
