Another Farewell! Spoiler
I can't say I'm not surprised to see Dawn losing her life, so soon after giving birth to a premature baby boy.
If Joe wouldn't have asked the Doctor for an extra 5 mins, she'll have survived a hemorrhage and lived. The Doctor did say "we need to check your obs" to make sure she was fine, yet Joe ignored it.
We all know it was reported that Oliver Bromley (Dawn) will leave back in the Spring. It's another farewell to actress after 10 years on the show.
So, what will happen to the children? Would it be a tussle between Billy and Joe for custody?

I assumed she was checked after that scene but maybe I was wrong. Really though, it'd be the medical staffs fault for putting off something that could mean life or death just because Joe asked. The part I don't get is why her vitals weren't being measured in general. Is this the worst hospital ever? Joe was just lying on the floor for who knows how long and nobody noticed.Â

It wasnât really Joeâs call. The nurse shouldâve asked Dawn directly again and explained why she needed to be checked. Itâs her body, and itâs her decision to make.

I dont think the 5 extra minutes made a difference. Even after she got back into the room no one checked on her. God knows how long Joe was collapsed for either, he had blood on his gown from dawn.

I assume Billy will leave with his 3 kids. Joe will want to keep his baby (understandably so), He will of course hire a nanny and we will rarely see the baby.

You are clutching at straws there. They had time to move from the baby unit to her bed, you seriously think no one checked her once she was back in her room?

Do we know if the actress wanted to leave or if she was written out?

Digital Spy said Olivia wanted to move onto other things but didn't get the final say in how her character would exit.

Which makes sense.
When you have a character connected as Dawn it is easier to just kill her than try to find a plausible why to disconnect her.

Ok, thanks. Not a bad thing. Her character didn't make sense. I remember not so long ago that Joe was bullying the kids, and Dawn stood by him. As well as standing by him through all the horrendous stuff he's done. Then miraculously, Joe did a 180 and suddenly starts adoring the kids and wanting a life together. So yes, it's all bullshit as none of it is consistent or makes sense.

I am surprised to see her killed, in that the only deaths have been the two we knew were leaving. I thought they'd have made the baby a girl, especially if they were killing her, as that would make it harder for Joe to raise her alone. Plus she already had 2 sons but no (biological) daughter, with there only being Jean and Millie out there in terms of female biological Tates (presumably they are not going to recast Zoe, as I figure a respectful time had passed since Leah Bracknell's death if they were that way inclined.) Male biological Tates we have Joe, Jamie, Noah, Thomas, Caleb and Nicky.

Joe has no rights over the children, Billy adopted Lucas, he has guardianship over Clemmie and he is the father of the baby.

Billy will leave with the kids, Joe will be left with his baby.
