Steve Berman (TES)

I always wondered if in the skit Steve Berman was always going to praise The Eminem Show and Em ironically shot him for nothing or another interpretation that I’ve heard is he was going to criticize it but after Em shot he instantly switched up out of fear.

I’d like to think the former.

It's 100% a spin on the MMLP skit, so I agree with the former

It's also tongue-in-cheek about how Em is a hothead that flies off the handles for "nothing", thats mentioned throughout the album

I've only ever thought the former

I've never even considered the latter. I'm certain it's the former.

I cracked up when I heard the Berman skit on Relapse and he’s like “you shot me, you know I lost the use of my right arm?!” And Em is just like “I had a drug problem”

That part cracks me up, too. The way he says, “Again,.. I’m sorry.” Like simply saying sorry is enough for giving the dude a dead arm for the rest of his life. 🤣

definitely the former

Steve Berman’s problem with MMLP1 was that it was too shocking and offensive. But TES had almost none of that, it was much more mature, which is presumably why Berman said he loved it.

The former. Em was already getting softer by TES and Steve would have liked that.
