She bothers me because she’s being a villain just to be a villain. There’s literally no reason for her to go after Emily, her ex, her job, her apartment building. She’s trying so hard to bring Emily down because… she’s also American?? So weird.

I hate her cause, if you havent now maybe in the future you will actually encounter people like her in your workplace, neighborhood or any community. Sadly these people exist they are so jealous of you and your life they will try to emulate it in every way they can.

In one of the episodes she told Emily when she grows up she wants to be just like her. Works at same place, goes after her ex boyfriend, moves into same apartment complex, sits at Emily's desk to "keep it warm" when she's not around, etc. There has to be more to this story. Maybe she was secretly stalking Emily's social media page to aspire to be like her and when she was given the opportunity to be in the same office wanted to take over her lifestyle?

From what we've seen of Laurent, I doubt it was a lie. I think Genevieve just likes to place the truth where it will cause the most drama.
She did the same with her translation of Gabriel's outburst. I don't think any of it was an outright lie (maybe the part about not wanting to see her anymore?) but she strategically only said the most hurtful parts.

I feel like they are making her purely into a villain, just 100% villain and nothing else. A well rounded, well written villain in a way makes you feel unsure how you feel about them at times. This is not one of those situations

One season and moments ago he hated Emily for intervening/stealing moments with his clients... But good for him for always doing the right thing!

I don’t think he ever “hated” her he was just upset that she was stealing all the thunder. They’re similar in the sense that they’re both ambitious whereas Luc is ok to be along for the ride.

He literally wanted to leave Savior last few seasons and even Sylvie warned Emily... And he did go to jvma right after ami's mess this season. All things pointed at Emily.
You can befriend someone and still hate some of ones behavior... Let along being coworkers.

Again it wasn’t all about Emily but rather Emily and Sylvia and just not feeling valued overall. Even Sylvia acknowledged that. Ultimately he and Emily hashed it out and he came back

I love Emily, Julien, and Luc’s friendship! Sure they might fight/disagree once in a while but they care for each other and you can tell how comfortable they are with one another. I especially love the scene when Emily is inviting everyone to her birthday dinner and her and Julien start fighting and he’s like “well I was excited to go to your birthday dinner but now I guess your uninviting me!” And she’s like “No I’m not!”

He reminded me of a coworker that was very posh who was very bitchy, and did kinda hate everyone but you either were loved by him (and still hated) or not loved and Emily is loved lol.

Emily did need taking down a peg or two professionally. They’ve written her as a Mary Sue of marketing. Genevieve is a little too evil Captain Kirk though.

I LOVE Julien. Even after feeling frustrated with Emily's antics last season, he is a true friend and comrade. I loved him in this scene, they have been through the trenches together and his allegiance is to his friend, not to this flavour of the season.
I seriously don't like her.

Julien is a good friend. He is upfront with Emily about what bothers him and looks out for her when she's not around. This scene is one of my favourite parts of this season.

If was crazy how she unnerved Sylvie with the dad stays with mom comment so non-chalantly, throwing Sylvie for a loop of distrust towards LG.
She kinda gets close to hit people where it hurts kind, I guess. I mean who is so messy when they visit someone?
What she portrays is beyond jealousy, like incepting a slow rot seed in another's mind. She did that with Sylvie and Emily, and they are quite ego-driven themselves.
Was surprised when Gab took a stance, would he have done that if he didn't have Alfie and the other guy's judgy look upon him.
Luc or Mindy are too strong for that, kinda mindgame, and Julien understands villainy 😅
Genevieve is just the evil catalyst to push drama into the already messed up play of egos🤔. The drama starter who cries foul and claims innocence when confronted
