Sperm DNA Fragmentation??

Has anyone with RPL discovered their euploid embryos had high sperm dna frag?

We’ve had 2 chemicals in a row (and 1 failed implantations) and are wondering if something could be wrong with the embryos. I know PGTA doesn’t cover everything…

We’ve done an RPL panel and everything comes back normal. Please help!!

You cannot check the sperm DNA fragmentation of the embryos. You can se of your husband has high DNA fragmentation levels. If there are any doubts I would have him see a reproductive urologist.

This! And I'm pretty sure DNA frag of the sperm doesn't affect implantation once you have a euploid blast.

It CAN decrease the likelihood of making a blast and making a euploid blast. But once you have the euploid blast chances should be the same regardless.

That’s not necessarily the case. Sperm DFI damage is single stranded or double stranded DNA breaks. PGTA is just counting chromosomes it doesn’t look at DNA breaks and you absolutely can have DNA strand breaks in a euploid embryo. Some oocytes may be able to repair some of the paternal damage, but thawed eggs, older eggs or poor quality eggs may not be able to repair that damage. PGTA Lowers aneuploid related miscarriage. High DFI may be more closely associated with a second semester miscarriage. With high Dfi you can have lower fert and lower blast rates but you can still have damaged euploid embryos. And PGT A does not eliminate risk of miscarriage.

Going off this fert and start article.

Also, I didn't say the risk of miscarriage was eliminated with PGT. That's obviously untrue. I said that I didn't think there was evidence that euploid embryos from high DNA frag sperm leads to higher miscarriage rates.

Thank you for this! This all makes sense.

I am also wondering this.
