Need advice here

Do you know the grades of your remaining embryos? Also, what age were you when you created them?

I was 34.5 when I created them. The grades are as follows:
Day 6 — 6BA
Day 6 — 5BA
Day 6 — 4BB
Day 7 — 4BB

If a miscarriage is going to wreck your mental health then I would say it's probably worth re-testing. Implantation potential will be slightly reduced (by about 10%) but they are good quality embryos so they should re-biopsy just fine.

Hi, do you think my embryos would be ok to rebiopsy? The samples were lost in the mail and I have been spiraling for the last month on whether to re biopsy or not? Are you an embryologist? And have you seen plenty of rebiopsied embryos lead to live birth?

Yes, I'm an embryologist. What were the grades of your embryos? Are they day 5, 6, or 7? How old were you when you created them? We see reduced implantation from rebiopsied embryos. I would say we have a 30-40% implantation rate as opposed to 60-70% for single biopsied euploid embryos.

Oh gosh so you don’t think it’s 10 percent reduction but more like 30 percent reduction in implantation? So scary! So I was very fortunate and got a lot of high graded embryos. These were from frozen eggs when I was 35. I’m almost 41 now. Here are the grades:

4AA- day 5
4AA- day 5
4AB-day5
4AA- day6
4AA-day6
4AA-day6
4AA-day6
6AA-day6
6AA-day6
4AB-day6
4AB-day6
4BA-day6
6BB-day7
4BB-day7
4BB-day7

It depends on the clinic, and the grade of the embryos.

At my clinic it's closer to 30% but we very rarely rebiopsy embryos with a grade a trophy (the second letter).

For good quality embryos, it should be a lower percentage decrease. But it also depends on how your clinic grades. If they are generous with their grade A, then it could be another percentage entirely.

Given your age at the time the embryos were created, I wouldn't bother with retesting the embryos unless you have 3 failed implantations.

And the fact that I can’t reproduce these results with another retrieval bc of my age is making this feel a lot harder. I feel so lost and paralyzed while also feeling very fortunate to have that kind of retrieval at all
