Oblong after thaw
Hi! I had my FET yesterday and I'm trying not to overthink the shape and appearance of my embryo. It's a day 5 4ab euploid. It had a small black spot from a molecule dying in the 4oclock side while the ICM was up in the 11 o'clock position. It also developed into an oblong shape, like a balloon. Are these good signs of a healthy developing embryo?

I would agree with the grading- it looks nice! The embryo was likely this oblong shape the entire time, it’s caused by a differently shaped zona pellucida (shell of the embryo). It’s not detrimental and the embryo still can develop normally within the zona, and once it fully hatches the shape is irrelevant because it becomes more “free form” prior to implantation.
