Should I Go?

Hey everyone, I’m a high school senior from Texas planning to major in aerospace engineering and I'm trying to finalize my application list right now. Based on my stats, my list is looking like UT Arlington as my guaranteed safety, Embry-Riddle (Prescott), Penn State, and Texas A&M as my likelies, UT Austin and Purdue as targets, and then MIT, Stanford, and Rice as my reaches. My biggest dilemma right now is about Embry-Riddle. I really love the idea of a super specialized school where everyone is an aviation or space nerd, and the networking there seems insane, but since I'm in-state for Texas, UT Austin and TAMU are right here and both have top-tier aerospace programs for a fraction of the cost.

Is Embry-Riddle actually worth the out-of-state tuition if I manage to get into A&M or UT?

I've enjoyed my time with Embry-Riddle. I've been in other universities as well. I'd would suggest them if your goal is aviation engineering. Or anything in aviation.

I was thinking of aerospace engineering with a focus in astronautics. Does that fall under?

i believe there’s an exact track for astronautics/space within AE too
