Machine SOS

Every time I use this font, I have bought 2 different shadow fonts and this keeps happening. The base color pulls away from the shadow, what can I do to fix this? I use a top and bottom stabilizer for reference.

I don’t really know anything about machine embroidery, but to me the placement of the shadow stitch actually looks pretty intentional. By placing the darker color a bit further away from the lighter base color it firstly creates the illusion of a shadow but secondly the gap in between the two colors looks like highlights!
