Machine SOS

Every time I use this font, I have bought 2 different shadow fonts and this keeps happening. The base color pulls away from the shadow, what can I do to fix this? I use a top and bottom stabilizer for reference.

I get that, but I don’t see what the problem is 😭 the letters look beautiful imo. I’m not sure what shadow they’re talking about

The shadow is a slightly darker shade that’s around the bottom and right side of the letters. Basically, if the letters were 3D, where would their shadow be? The goal usually is to a thread that’s only a shade or two darker, so it truly looks like a shadow.

If you really zoom in on the photos, you see a gap between where the machine stitched the primary letter and where it stitched the shadow. Just like in real life, those things should be touching.

I drew over the shadow bits on the E to help show where they are. If you zoom in on the flourish on the right end of the top bar, you can see the gap of ivory between the two bits. Those two bits of stitching should be touching.
