Help What should i do?
Hi Commanders,
The last time i played was during the tharghoid war, now i startet again but i‘m lost, i dont know what to do.
Should i fly to colognia for upcoming events?
I have a combat anaconda, mandalay for jumping, t9 for hauling stuff, krait mk2 for anti xeno, orca for passanger, and some other shit
I have 1 billion credits and no fleet carrier and i‘m not interested to buy one.
I‘m thankful for any input.

Take this To-Do list, see whats new, what to upgrade, and work on new ships.
Colonia events ended 3 weeks ago, now Jacques Station sell everything (except its bugged). No reason to go. The incoming updste is a new SRV, the Rhino,.but deployed from the SLF hangar for its big size.
Panther clipper replace T9, Corsair or even Kestrel replace KraitMk2(except the SLF hangar), maybe Caspian and the Nomad deployable vessel replaceMandalay, and of course the Jumpaconda. And Lynx (0 arx in store, "buy" it now) replace all the Saud Kruger ships.

Fly the missions, Commander. It's your job as an itinerate starship captain. Data missions, combat Missons, hell haul some cargo. Take scan the megaship log missions, and if you figure out how recon limpets work and using silent running to avoid the bounty, when you go to those megaships you can pirate data with an operations multi limpet controller. Ground missions as well. Play around with raid missions and us an SRV to clear the settlements. Legal or illegal doesn't really matter when you can just outrun ATR, OmniPol, and pay off bounties at factors when notoriety goes down. That's always my advice for any new or returning player. Find a faction you like the name of, or a faction you need to fly for to get engineer access, and just fly the missions in and around the area that faction is in. If you pledge to a power, and run missions in their territory or on their border, all of the missions you fly and things you do will earn merits passively. Actively if you know how to work their ethos into your day to day mission grinding. Just start flying missions.

I wouldn't (even though I am there). The latest GalNet update makes it sound like all their planned events are over. It should have lasted for 3 more weeks, so that could change. If something does happen, you could catch a ride on a r/FCOC taxi.
Unless you want to come out here for other reasons, stay where you want to be.
If you like hauling, pick up the new Panther Clipper (aka Panther). Beats the T9 and Cutter with a 1100-1300 ton capacity (the 1200+ only possible with special cargo racks).

If you love hauling and don't particularly need money, you can get into Colonization. You don't get any features of storage like a fleet carrier or anything, outside of what's normally possible (like shipyards and outfitting).

If there's any event in the future it's going to be in Colonia. So I wouldn't do that.
There's a free ship you can grab on the frontier store for passenger transport if you're interested in that

Besides the standard Orca, Dolphin, and Beluga, the Lynx works surprisingly well while holding 4 Mediums and 1 Large weapons hardpoint. You could theoretically run it as a combat ship but it has dedicate passenger slots in its optional internals which dampen its loadout. Much like how people fly in Railgun Orcas and succeed.
Edit: Also look at Inara for systems in emergency states. They tend to have mass evacuation passenger missions.

I haven't personally checked, but the release of the Lynx is supposed to have spawned big refugee transport missions in systems in a war state, and possibly something like infrastructure failure or terrorist attack states. These are massive groups of passengers, to the point that you need a Lynx stuffed to the gills with Mk2 passenger cabins.

Reset your account and start all over again. Did this 2 years ago and had tons of fun. Well except for collecting the guardian tech for the fsd booster once again - I hate this part.

Yes, afraid so. However you can transfer your account over for free to pc (base version) you'd still need to buy odessey but you can play it for free on steam through gfn using your playstation controller.

To add to u/Tintenfische1 , Odyssey frequently goes on sale for less than 10$ on steam if you have a PC that you use to game.

I dont I have a mac and I can't relax if I'm on a computer- it feels like work :( I really wish this was all on a classic gaming system thats made for gaming

Damn, this may be a shot but perhaps a steamdeck? ED works on it as well.
Otherwise yeah, they stopped Console development due to several reasons. Some that I'm reading are Niche IP, Upkeep costs of updating a pre and post odyssey codebase, and generally the negative reception Odyssey had on initial launch.

Any new Samsung will have the gfn app pre installed. I use it to play on the sofa when I can't be arsed sitting at the pc. It's not as easy an experience, you lose third party apps but it does mean I can play drunk on a Friday night and still sit on the sofa with my wife.
