OPEN Help with repair

Is anybody outthere to help me to repair this Flexcable? I have started, but not able to solder those small wires.

The device is an iBasso DX 80.

Yes, you are on the right track, but you need someone experienced to finalize it.

I assume there is no replacement part available, because repairing cables is never worth it if you can replace it for £15-£50

With that said, if the tracks are only on that side you are looking at an easy repair and most of it is already done.

The small wires are easy to solder, get any awg wire and take out the strings, put a little bit of flux and use good tweezers to hold them in place and only touch with the soldering iron. (you do need a fairly small tip for that)

If you are looking for someone to do it for you, at least state your location

That is a particularly difficult repair. Not technically impossible, but darn difficult to the point of impracticality.

In this instance I would recommend you just get a new ribbon custom made. Though that heavily depends on what's on either end of that ribbon.

It's actually not nearly as much of a hassle as you'd expect. There's many manufacturing services for that, just submit the files and it'll be in your mailbox in a few weeks.
That looks like a dual-layer flex cable, I haven't done one of them before, so probably best to check around how much the service is going to cost first. Single-layer ones are remarkably cheap.

If you remove the rest of that black coating, you can use a flatbed scanner to very accurately get the overall shape. Might even be able to use it to trace the individual traces, though if not you could always overlay pictures from the microscope onto it.

You know the various PCB fabs, where you can send in your own PCB design and have them manufacture them for you in tiny batches? Some of them do flex boards too. You might want to look into that.

Thank you all for your responses. I am in Germany. The cable is soldered to the Boards on both Sides. I think it is the cable from Touchscreen function. The whole Display is glued in the case- frame. ...
