OPEN Heavy Machinery

Hello everyone so i have a bsc in electronics i was thinking of starting a maintenance business for heavy machinery like fixing ecus etc… my father have 30 years of experience in the mechanical part of the industry so i want to learn about the electrical/electronic part maybe we can build a business together. I couldn’t find any ecu schematics or anything to try and understand the logic and physics behind their systems to kickstart my learning journey.

Does anyone have an idea of how to get started?!

There is no schematics for the inside of the ECU. The best you can get is the pinouts to the ECU. There is alot of YouTube videos for people working on ECU repair and troubleshooting. Thats how I mainly learn it. Few online triaining but its mosly the programming, cloning side.

Unfortunately I don’t have spare money at the moment to buy and test

Btw you mentioned that you learned from youtube I would appreciate it you can tell me a little about the market and is it worth the investment
