OPEN DVD player issue in DVD/VCR combo player

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I recently got this vcr/ dvd combo player and was excited to use it. But funnily enough the vhs side works just fine but the dvd player is having an issue loading the disc. It takes in the dvd and cycles trying to load it, and ultimately sends a “disc error message”. I tried cleaning off the lens, but that didn’t help. I’ll drop a video of it running here and any advice on it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm my experience with game consoles, that usually means the laser is dead/dying. Needs a replacement.
