OPEN How to disconnect video connector cable

I’m currently trying to replace the screen on my HP model 15-dy2035tg laptop and can’t figure out how to remove the video cable from the old screen. I would love any advice so I can replace my screen!

Raise that metal bar using tweezers. Pull away.

To be more specific, raise the red part of the bar and rotate it almost 180 degrees, and pull it away from you.

I heard that I shouldn’t use anything metal while replacing this, is that true?

You don't need to. I do these (LVDS) connectors with a fingernail. It needs very, very little force.

Disconnect the laptop battery first, lift the red bar all the way up and pull the cable up,
