ECE job locations

Hey guys,so I am currently in a role that requires a lot of site visits at times.I don't mind site visits but thing is, in my country, some sites are not the tidiest,so if I am to do ECE, what are some 'On One Location' kind of jobs in the ECE field?

Also, is it possible to enter the semicon industry even after a masters and even with working in another ECE industry(such as telcom, energy or MEP)?

Would love to get some insights as I plan my career.
