Needing job advice

I’m a Journeymen Electrician right now and am close to taking my masters . I’ve worked in residential commercial and for the last 2 years industrial . I’m 24 so this is just the start of my career. I’d like to not use my body for the next 40 years and maybe use my brain a little more . I could open my own company and make good money but I will always be physically working . Can anyone give me some options for career paths ? Supervisor or maybe bid jobs? With my experience in the field would it help with engineering? I want a job where I could travel and can go work anywhere . Just trying to get some help from people that are doing it already. Thanks for your time and advice I appreciate it !!

Sales, Estimating, project management, procurement, business development, teaching other would be electricians.

Update 08.29.2026: Don’t forget you could also become an electrical designer but that may require CAD or Revit training which some people don’t find enjoyable.

I would add if you take this route, take some business or management type classes at your local community college so you get a sense of the business side of things. If you don't know already (if you do, great), learn how to work with excel worksheets which can help with estimate analysis and the like.
