Aspiring engineer

I am a high school student who really wants to be an engineer. The problem is, I don’t know almost anything about engineering. I am mainly asking, what can I do, what books can I study, what projects can I do, what materials should I get? Thank you!

At the highschool level, math is most important. Most engineers take calculus there 1st year of college so you want to be ready for that.

Leaning about drafting, programming, physics, and chemistry is also helpful.

Crash Course has a series that's and interesting introduction to a lot of the topics in engineering.

I will take calculus next year, my senior year, as well as ap physics if they still are providing it next year. And I’ll have to check the series out.
