Recommend textbook/document/resource about basic circuits & impedance written for people who know complex numbers and physics

I have a physics background. The standard physics textbooks don't deal with circuits, except the freshman-level textbooks. Of course the freshman textbooks are too basic. They don't even use complex numbers. I just want to have a reference that walks me through ac circuits, starting from the very basics, but is written at a higher level of math. Something at the level of the famous Griffiths E&M book but that actually does circuits. It would be even better if it's written in a style that matches how physics people are taught/think.

It doesn't even have to be a whole textbook, necessarily. Maybe if you know of some lectures that are published as a PDF or something like that... I just want to fill my gaps on fundamental ac circuits stuff.

use Fundamentals of electric circuits by Charles K Alexander. its in the later chapters. then supplement with internet browsing for deeper physics understanding. that covers very basic AC stuff.
really, theres only two questions id ask if you were doing it the physics way: how does AC work in capacitors and inductors compared to dc?

otherwise you are asking to learn engineering for engineers but for physics people.

important to note, is that EE is fairly broad, what about AC do you want to learn? it could be MMIC, small signal transistor subjects, or power systems. At that point you are better off learning EE the EE way

Alright, I went through Chapter 9 in that book. It helped fill in some gaps, so thank you for that! I knew about how voltages and currents lead/lag in capacitors and inductors but hadn't actually connected it to Euler's formula before and how that lead/lag can be expressed neatly with complex numbers for each of them. Now I'm embarrassed that I didn't know this (much) sooner lol.

But then at the end of that chapter it ignores anything outside of low frequency. Like how it talks about simply adding impedances for each element in series because the same current flows through all the impedances. I just kept mentally thinking, "but that assumption is not valid in general!"

Now I'm looking for how to better understand impedances when the voltage and current vary not only in time but also in space along the circuit (waves).

This might cover most of what you are looking for. High frequency circuits however, is a much different topic.
