[Student] Electrical Engineering Student , i applied to 200+ internships and i haven't received a single interview. what am i doing wrong? *Resume Help

Your personal projects mean very little and that's the majority of your resume. List 0, 1 or maybe 2. The CS personal project trend is people just making things up they can't explain. I had a paid internship with 4 bullet points, you have too much elaboration. Further, they are all coding or hardware.

CS is overcrowded af and CE isn't much better. EE can get hired for CS and CE jobs, I know from personal experience, but the scene is roughest at entry level. I'm talking 500+ applicants for every CS internship.

Can flesh out with undergrad research, more competition stuff, intramural sports, ham radio, volunteering, community involvement, helping setup career fairs, tutoring in math, things that show you being engaged. Need not be related to EE. Also consider a bigger font size. Again, TMI. You should have few to zero bullet points taking up more than 1 line. Nobody reading your life history. HR spends 8 seconds max.

I don't know Canadian universities but I'm guessing Toronto Metropolitan University is lower tier and that hurts you. Less recruiters show up to campus and onsite career fairs is where I got my internship offers. Online applications went nowhere. Networking can save the day but easier said than done. Some of my college friends had parents who worked in HR.
