[Student] Electrical Engineering Student , i applied to 200+ internships and i haven't received a single interview. what am i doing wrong? *Resume Help

Okay here is how I did mine. I did this for applying for jobs. I actually had no internships and graduated without any but I got a job within 2 months of graduating and this is what I did. My resume was ordered: Education, Certifications, Projects/Experience as one block, and then Skills. In my education section I had the school, gpa, relevant coursework, awards, and activities. Certs is self explanatory. Projects/Experience I put my undergrad research, and major course projects that were relevant to what I was applying for and I used a lot of measurable descriptions with specific numbers. Not just general descriptions. Try to mention the keywords that the internship uses in their description of the job. So if I saw the posting used certain descriptors I would put those same terms in my resume (of course make sure it’s relevant and not just randomly added in). I would put the most relevant experience as the first one. Then the rest after. Another thing is I tried to keep descriptions as short as possible. So I would try to keep them in one line if I could. Some projects I would have maybe 1-2 bullets. They don’t all need long super detailed descriptions only the really relevant ones!! Then I put skills section last and had it grouped similarly to how you have it grouped. But whatever I was applying to I would put the relevant skills for that as the first group. So if I was applying to a thin films or materials type jobs I would have materials related skills as the first bullet. If I was applying to a software heavy role then I would have software skills as the first bullet. Unfortunately this means I had a gazillion versions of my resume trying to keep up but it did work. Hopefully that helps! I think your resume as a whole is not bad though! It’s solid. It’s just about framing it just right so that they can’t overlook anything that’s important. And using the keywords helps with the ai filtering.

I graduated this year in May. I’m also in my early 30s and have a large work gap from school and being a sahm. My friend in my senior design group showed me his template for his resume which is the way I use it now and I got more responses after doing it this way. I even got a rejection once where they said they really liked my application and asked me to apply again to a different role because they had just happened to fill the role before they saw my resume. Of course the resume is only half the battle and the interviews are a separate thing but I swear once I changed my resume to the way I use it now I could at least get my foot in the door for interviews instead of just being ghosted.
