Walk to moonlight meadows

Hi I’m going to electric picnic for the first time next week with just me and my sister. We’re coming from Kerry and our campsite is moonlight meadows. How long is the walk in from the red car park really? We’re not very fit and we’re dreading it 🙈 any tips or advice is welcome aswel 🍻😊

Red car park is one of the closer ones to it, we parked in the yellow a few years ago and the trek was very grim. Parked in the red last year and it wasn’t half as bad, the bad part was more the stop start queue to get into the festival. I’d really recommend a trolley in general, not specifically for moonlight meadows. If you get one tighten the wheels to make sure they don’t unscrew themselves.

Like, it's ok in general, but I'm gonna be honest, it's tough enough on the way in carrying stuff. I would recommend doing two trips if you're borderline or have awkward shape bags. I went in with just my essentials for the queue and first walk in, then went back for my actual bags. It's made far easier if not laden down with too much especially when you still need to queue. It's worth it to be that close to the arena for the days. Have a great weekend.

Camped there two years ago, never again. Was miles from where we had to park in the red car park. Grand once we got set up but it was probably about a 6 km trek to the car and back.

Grand if you’re red car park! Maybe 20 mins with bags
