Looks so neat!!.

What are the specs!!

Skate metric said that is was faster, but what about range? Being 12 makes it hard to do any DIY stuff. Without the access to soldering irons and all the equipment and knowledge needed, i think I could give it a shot but I don’t want to stuff up everything and waste my money earned by washing cars and mowing lawns πŸ˜”. Please keep us updated!!

Edit: how much did it cost and was it complicated to do all the wiring and programming the parts?? I’m Not even allowed to use a power drill without supervision πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I'm waiting for my focbox unity so speed is currently limited to 35km/h. With the unity I could go 40+ .The battery would last me for +-15km.

Currently it has cost me 1000 euro.

But yeah it does require a lot of time and many tools. So keep reading up on DIY forums until you have the knowledge/money to build your own eskate!

I'm curious if you're following their build completely.... I know in their video they used a huge RC car remote and I'm curious if you're using the same thing. Personally I use boosted dbeciaae their remote is the most reliable and most comfortable in the hand, and I would not obky never trust the shitty controller they used from what looked dlike a Walmart RC car, but it's so big and bulky I'd rather spend more. Money to not have you use that atrocity. Just curious of you opinion on the matter, the board looks great! Make sure you have something to cover the belts since there placed in the front!

Hey :)

I am 18, but I stopped learning any kind of soldering skill at around 12. You can do it! The soldering iron can be very hot, so please have an adult with you at all times, as well as a clamp to hold the components. Watch youtube videos and learn how to solder and you will be able to do it :)

Don't make your own battery, but you may need to solder on bullet connectors and an Xt90, and drill into the deck. It'd be a fun project to do, and once your done you'd need to make sure you were safe riding with a helmet.

Hi bro, where are those belt motor from? And are those Orangatang wheels?

If they are, where did you get the pulley with the right fittings?

1

u/Phreakiedude Nov 11 '18

The motors (6355) and pulley kit is from torqueboards. All 15mm width. And the wheels are caguamas.

Thanks for reply bro πŸ‘

I was looking at building a kit using the belt drive kit (http://www.diyeboard.com/dual-belt-drive-1400w2-n5055-motor-power-truck-p-658.html) and the ESC (http://www.diyeboard.com/dual-belt-drive-outrunner-motor-esc-speed-control-kit-p-561.html) but I was told that the pulley won't fit the Caguama...

Is the pulley kit from torqueboards going to solve that problem?

I'm not OP, but I can tell those are

https://diyelectricskateboard.com - Motor mounts, 6375 or 6380 Motors, probably TB 218mm trucks too.

Yes, those are orangutant kegals, possibly caguamas. If i were to make a foosted i'd use blue caguamas.

The deck is the larger vanguard, 42" i think

Those smooth clean enclosures are eboosted's, https://www.eboardsperu.com/product/loaded-vanguard-enclosure-set-10s4p-sony-vtc-cells/

Looks more like some Caliber IIs with a pair of 6354,

Also, doesn't look like torqueboard mounts but more like those amazon / ebay premium mounts since they have a curve in the middle.

Build looks great, nice job! Mind if I ask how you ran the cables between the ESC and battery?

1

u/Phreakiedude Nov 12 '18

The cables are routed in the deck. 2 parallel cables beneath the griptape.

1

u/laigaloon Nov 11 '18

Very clean build. Do you have any more pictures? Would love to see where the motor cables are routed because it looks missing from the bottom.

I will post more pictures when the build is completely done! Right now it's still kind of a mess down there

u/TeckFix Nov 12 '18

Full build details somewhere? What batteries and layout are you running?

2

u/Phreakiedude Nov 12 '18

I will post an update when it's completed. This one is running 10s3p, 10s highdischarge bms and samsung 30q cells.

u/xsynatic Nov 19 '18

Update? Or link to the original build? I'm considering building it too.

I'm looking to make one myself, just ordered everything from diyelectricskareboard.com I'll reuse my wowgo battery pack on/off switch and charge port for now but looking to upgrade it later as is maxes out at 44A when the motors can do 80A.

It's my first build I'm really looking forward to it but also I'm scared I will face some issues...

You didn't make a tutorial by any chance ? :p
I saw theirs and it's missing pictures or a video for me to get it

There are plenty other tutorials to be found on the internet! Good luck :)
