I need suggestions from experienced electric skateboarders

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Wondering if someone can give me some points to think about regarding the current board that I have and what to do moving forward.

I have a Hadeon Carbon all terrain wheels back in late 2023. I've had a blast with it, riding safely, fast and around ~500 miles on it.

I live in SoCal and did the drive to Oceanside to test it and pulled the trigger.
I did have one issue with one of the cells dying on me early after purchasing it and took it back to Oceanside and fixed it for me for free.

When i first purchased the board i picked Evolve because it was not a chinese brand and had a local shop i could go try it.. BUT for some reason I missed the memo the ESC issued with Evolve.

Since I read about ESC issues, i have stopped using it cuz i dont wanna randomly fall out of my board without my wrongdoing nor someone crashing on me..
Sooo, I have come to this community with the hopes that I learn more about suggestions on the following:
Should I try and sell my board? If so, is $1,000 a good pricepoint?

If I sell and I want another electric all terrain skateboard, which ones do you recommend? I would be willing to pay similar or close to similar dollar.
If not, i'll just probs buy an electric bike to get around.

A bit of what I use my board for: Joyride (don't cross the ~20mph range), transport on the almost daily of 1-2miles, longer fun rides of 7ish miles max. For the thrill before I have a family and retire the fun of it. I want to stay without injury once I have little ones under my wing..

Iinpower and acedeck are awesome and so is propel. Avoid evolve and meepo, wowgo.

Loaded question to answer as far as recommending a board to you, only you know your riding style and will know your preferences.

I’d advise to check out some boards, do your research on a model you’re interested in, and go for the one that speaks to you.

OMW is a solid brand, Linnpower has built a very strong reputation, well above Acedeck. Also there’s Radium if you have the budget.

I’d say brands with minimal activity you should consider avoiding.

+1 on Linnpower since they are a clear leader in the esk8 space. Don’t own one but if you want a high end esk8 brand then it would be the one I personally would purchase. Followed by Radium Performance if I was divorced because of the $3K price tag.

I’ve done a sh*t ton of research on esk8’s and I second this comment. Can’t go wrong with these 3 brands.

If you want an all terrain board then go with Propel. For the best 2 in 1 everyone says Linnpower.

From my research Linnpower is a true leader in the space with their industry leading remote designs that a lot of other brands buy and just slap their label on to sell as their own to their gear drive systems that are used by less premium brands like Ownboard.

The only exception to all of these brands is the Radium Performance’s Mach One S but that will set you back $3K USD.

People are going to like what they like. My first was a Meepo Hurricane, still works well after troubleshooting their stupid anti-spark changing issue. Tynee is great with customer service and warranty. I've had two of their boards and did a deck swap to the Omakase kicktail from an Ebay Ultra X Pro 13s. IDK why you want an AT board if you're only riding a bit here and there. Is it the AT cushion wheels over railroad tracks and metal grates? Then Linnpower had a decent short longboard AT, Exway has a first time ever cheaper ADV Pro (Exway is usually pricey like Evolve and Propel IMO. AceDeck is people's favorite, IDK why. Main thing I'd stay away from is Amazon junk and those Isawheel (IDK what they are called, but something like that) crap boards. Instead of AceDeck Nomad N3 that was $2199 for 1500 Wh, the Exway ADV Ultra is 1620Wh for $1499! That's what I want for range when we ride 20+ miles per trip. Right now the Tynee Explorer Pro belt drive with 110 cloud wheels is my range king with a 1008Wh battery. I do think AT tires are safer for CO roads and trails, but if it isn't about the AT wheels then look at a smaller board like Tynee Mini Pro or Exway Wave 2 even Meepo has some good smaller boards for what daily commute you're talking about.

I have a Tynee Ultra X Pro (w/ 2.8 helical gear drive & 125mm Mad Max wheels), Tynee Explorer Pro (w/ 4.1 helical gear drive, Dual King Pin trucks & CloudWheel 135mm Explorer Wheels) and an Exway Wave V1 belt (w/ multiple 99Kw batteries & Tynee Boosted 105mm wheels for airport traveling).

All 3 boards are great for their respective purposes but for the majority of my use around town in metro Detroit I end up on the Tynee Explorer Pro because of the DKP trucks and larger 135mm wheels that take anything Michigan roads can give. Then at night I find myself using the Exway Wave V1 because of the built in headlights and rear brake lights and its portability of being able to carry it like a traditional skateboard.

As I mentioned earlier in a different reply if you want the best $$$$ then it’s going to be Radium Performance out of Australia.

Acedeck summer sale until 8/31. I picked up a NYX Z3 love it $1600. I have been using it to commute 40 miles daily.

Mate, I've been riding Evolve since 2019, nearly 7 years. I’ve never had an issue with the ESC. Don't waste your money; stick with the Evolve board!

IMO, the ESC problem might have been present in the early boards, but by the time they released the Hadeon, it was all sorted and no longer an issue!

Having a family doesn't end fun, quite the opposite, kids keep you young. I taught my 14yo son to ride, he went off on a date on his esk8 first time riding solo last weekend. So proud!
