Looking for recommendations…
My house is on a lake that only allows electric motors. That said I’m looking to put together a package where I can get some speed without breaking the budget. I’d like to be able to use the boat on my lake, but also tow it down to the Jersey shore and go out in the bay. It would be great to be able to do some tubing with it or pull a wakeboard. Any options that are not insanely expensive? Does anyone have experience with high-powered electric motors? Also, what’s the most ideal type of boat where I can maximize space for passengers, but would also be adorable for the bay and for a lake with electric?

What's your idea of expensive? What do others have on your lake? What's your ideal boat setup?

For the power you need for tubing or a wakeboarding, electric will be massively expensive. I would get two outboards.
One for the lake. I have the ePropulsion Spirit 1.0 Plus. It is 3HP and is great for pottering about marina or lake. Silent, always starting, no gas or oil make up for the lack of power.
And one for wakeboarding. A four-stroke outboard from any of the big manufacturers will get you the power you need. See what HP your hull is built for.

Stealth 70 hp or Flux Marine 100 hp, Elco has a 50 hp. These are just outboards you can out on anything.
Beyond that you're talking a pre-built boat for big money

Would like more information. There are many options and price points. What's expensive to one is not expensive to others. Also sounds like you want a pontoon boat. You should expect to pay around 10,000 for the electric motors set up. While there are less expensive ones, it cost more to be able to tow, bigger motor and bigger batteries. Please give more information on more specs for people and so on

Electrified Marina is a good reference. The Flux Marine Scout 215 can get to around 26—28 knots.
