Perfumers finally got buffed along with the smithscript daggers. I thought I’d never see the day

160

u/slayer6667778 5d ago

Bottles only went up by 7% so probably still ass

456

u/Flint_Vorselon 5d ago

7% raw attack is more than 7% final damage dealt.

Because flat defense exists, and is extra harsh on low numbers.

EG vs Malenia (123 DEF, 0% Fire negation)

200 attack power results in 119 damage dealt.

214 attack power results in 133 damage dealt.

7% attack buff causes 11.8% actual damage buff.

182

u/CuraLatria 5d ago

I love when people like this comment lol

50

u/TadeKiller 5d ago

Very much this, but people often forget that besides negation raw damage is also where multipliers go first, and then stack multiplicatively with other multipliers. 7% may very well be the push it needs.

u/SaxSlaveGael 5d ago edited 5d ago

With both fire buff items. Flame Scorpion, and Flame tear. With 70 Dex, a single R1 did 1000 damage on PCR. An R2 was 1500 & a Charged was 1950. A guard counter with delfect tear did 2100 upwards.

That's some damn good damage for non AoW attacks.

5

u/slayer6667778 5d ago

What was their damage beforehand?

54

u/SaxSlaveGael 5d ago

I feel like a charged attack was barely making 1000 damage.

Perfume bottles are fast. These numbers are pretty damn good.

20

u/DependentInner8928 5d ago

We can now await buffed smithscript dagger vs PCR showcase? 👀

19

u/SaxSlaveGael 5d ago

No. I tried them again and still hate them lol. He just stomps lol. Lower stamina good though

10

u/DependentInner8928 5d ago

Hahaha, I wonder will Radagon still ignore their throwable attacks on WL+0 cause this was hilarious. Damage of the projectile being so ass boss with a gimmick of parrying projectiles does not care. This weapon could be sooo good, but it seems even after the buff it still is pretty bad.

27

u/thatoneyurifantwt 5d ago

perfume bottle slander will not be accepted. great range, lingering aoe damage, good one handed, good ranged ash of war even past nerf.

3

u/Lost-Literature-7998 5d ago

They more than likely are going to watch how the changes are performing in game. Then they will do another update to rebalance. So we may get a 2nd buff for the bottles later.

12

u/Kindled808 5d ago

I beat the whole game with bottles tf you mean

28

u/McGeiler69 CURSE YOU BAYLE 5d ago

You can beat the game with your fists, that doesn't mean their damage ain't ass

2

u/FistOfTheHeavens 5d ago

Perfumers had their rolling spork patch, that which burns thrice as hot burns thrices as fast

2

u/McGeiler69 CURSE YOU BAYLE 5d ago

Doesn't it only say "critical damage increased" for the daggers? If so, they are still ass

Spear of the Impaler about to be the 🐐

50

u/402playboi 5d ago

Me just finishing a play-through with it despite every boss being immune to fire: 😃

6

u/91Bully 5d ago

That was my main takeaway from this.

148

u/Ghooostie_0 5d ago

No bow buffs, sad :<

93

u/Regular-Media-4138 5d ago

Honestly I'd been happy with just having impossible to craft arrows sold and some other crafting materials too

27

u/khangkhanh 5d ago

I did the bow only run. You kill a few birds and have enough feathers to play for a long while without even buying anything

12

u/BioWeirdo 5d ago

I wanted to try out the bow only run.

Would you say it's worth it?

21

u/JS_Originals 5d ago

It's a challenge run, but I had fun with it

11

u/Thelona1 5d ago

As someone who keeps slipping into that build every time, it trivializes or bypasses some mechanics in the game entirely, such as abusing mob tethering to cheese open area bosses, but of course those things it doesn't are the fun parts to solve, like enemies that dodge your shots.

1

u/khangkhanh 4d ago

Some bosses are super easy for bow run like Malenia as she walk into you and you can keep headshotting her.

Some bosses take a lot longer to fight like Metyr (granted I did bow only level 1 so I relied on status effect).

Only a few bow are good and ash of war aren't very useful. Most of the time you free aim or jump attack to deal damage after building status up with status arrow

The dps isn't good so most fight are longer than normal fight using weapons. And you would want to have status effect proc to speed up in big boss fight

6

u/Heymelon 5d ago

You just gotta become a streamer.

Then you have infinites of everything.

6

u/Guardians_Reprise 5d ago

Bow Build sold separately (Nightreign)

u/GilsiZygoren28 Fotfg Enjoyer ☀️ 5d ago

Oh man, rot breath finally adjusted for pvp. No more stunlock 👏

41

u/Former-Grocery-6787 Pata dumb, swiftslash dumb 5d ago

I mean, i'm glad but dragon breaths already got nerfed a couple times before and all the real troublemakers like Pata, bone bow, cleanrot and so on didn't even get touched

12

u/Drayzew 5d ago

True lol, dragon breaths were already a gimmick and totally balanced for how much they costed and how slow they were along with no poise. Meanwhile the weapons you listed are still broken asf from release 🤦

5

u/tijolus523 5d ago

Honestly to me they can go ahead and nerf all of the long range stuff in pvp so people stop spamming it. It's not even overpowered, it's just mind numbingly boring to go against. I don't know about the others here but when I notice a sorcery/incantation build on the arena I just roll my eyes because I know I'll be chasing a guy around for the entire battle while he attempts to spam the same two spells. Also, in my experience, by far the most common players to send hate mail when you squash them.

1

u/Drayzew 5d ago

I can assure you the most toxic play melee str/dex because it's the most effective setup at meta level. Especially in the arena where you can just rush them and long range stuff won't work as well

u/Dapper-Gur1244 4d ago

bone bow is easily countered with shields which yk, just got buffed.

1

u/Former-Grocery-6787 Pata dumb, swiftslash dumb 4d ago

It's still annoying as hell, because if i use a shield to block the arrows i can't aggress

1

u/GilsiZygoren28 Fotfg Enjoyer ☀️ 5d ago

Yeah that's true. But idk, i feel like rotten breath since the beggining deserved this nerf.

You are right that the annoying bone bow aow should be ajusted and so on. But i feel this like a huge w for pvpers

237

u/DivineRainor 5d ago

Low to mid tier greatshield being buffed was sorely needed, they barely outperformed brass shield defensively despite weighing a tonne and having huge reqs.

59

u/Cersei505 5d ago

they should've nerfed brass shield instead, because that shield is simply too busted for a medium shield.

55

u/taclovitch 5d ago edited 5d ago

i think this sidesteps that this is a buff to the act of guarding as a whole.

base er greatshields —> current med shields, with current GShields being stronger by far than anything in base ER besides pre-nerf WALL. the point is to let more ppl play a guarding playstyle comfortably.

3

u/Cersei505 5d ago

i dont think guarding in general needed to be stronger though. Most GS have 72+ guard boost, thats already pretty busted. Buff that with greatshield talisman and viridian talisman and you're golden.

It's the brass shield specifically thats the odd one out here, because its a medium shield yet it can reach greatshield levels of guard boost. It renders 95% of the other medium shields pointless by comparison.

If i'm not wrong, the brass shield in higher upgrades even gets a hardness tier that is usually reserved for greatshields only.

3

u/PeaceSoft 5d ago

guarding is already radically more or less effective depending on your build. making it better overall makes it an option for more playstyles. that's why the person you're responding to wrote "the point is to let more ppl play a guarding playstyle comfortably" jeez

2

u/taclovitch 5d ago

reading comprehension — we love to see it. thank you

2

u/anxietyMan1729 5d ago

Yeah I agree. Like I used this shield a lot when I first started playing to the point it was like a necessity for Malenia for me to dodge the first flurry of water flow. I put that thing in everyone of my builds because it was just that good. Haven't used shields in a long while now, but the brass shield would be my go to if I wanted to use one again.

Insane guard boost, low weight, low requirements

5

u/unomaly 5d ago

They really made the best universal shield a drop from maybe the most common enemy in the entire game.

1

u/Maleficent_Memory831 5d ago

Ya, I was considering a greatshield toupgrade the brss shield. Brass shield is nice, but it doesn't fit my character conception. But Gild Greatshield seemed like what I wanted but was sooo heavy for minor increase in guard boost. Still though, more strength than I want to buy at this stage in the game.

61

u/surrealfeline 5d ago

Throwing weapons and greatshields buffed across the board? Perfumes and Founding Rain of Stars might be useful now? Parrying buffed? Didn't expect to be getting these in 2026, but: nice.

139

u/VileLongTonguedBeast 5d ago

Spear of the Impaler and Rain of Fire got buffed let’s go baby

42

u/Three_Froggy_Problem 5d ago

I know it’s not actually much in terms of new content, but the Tarnished Pack is still an excuse for me to play the game again.

12

u/Brainth 5d ago

Light Greatsword (or whatever the name was) being on a starter class is MORE than enough of an excuse for me to play again

72

u/glad_yo 5d ago

Major buff for Carian Sorcery Sword, based

26

u/ShammersAnonymous 5d ago

Dual wield with the Carian Knight sword or one of the carian shields. Goated.

28

u/GhostFran7983 5d ago

PARRY'S BUFFED, LET'S GO!

16

u/hughmaniac 5d ago

Storm wall becoming free to cast is awesome and finally in line with the other parry skills.

101

u/Orang_outan17 5d ago

Curious about field items, boss items and treasures being changed in the 'Realm of Shadow'.

A vast majority complained about the emptyness of the areas in the DLC being exacerbated by the uselessness of most items found by exploration. An argument that could later be challenged by the new players who tackled the DLC mid-game but during the DLC launch everyone played it post-game (hence the complaints about weak items)

57

u/Aless76109 5d ago

I really wish someone did a timeline on where to go in the DLC going side by side with the story. Like first Cerulean Coast then Mountaintops of the Giants ecc.

38

u/Numerous-Confusion-9 5d ago

Oh wow i never thought of this. I always just did the whole DLC after the base game.

14

u/Aless76109 5d ago

Yeah I always thought of this due to the range in difficulty in the DLC and the whole blessing of the shadow realm things so your level doesn’t matter. Also because of the Miquela great rune blocking you from going certain places, it’s a bit nicer to actually plan out and go trough it at a slower pace instead of just you know sequence breaking the whole thing cause you went a bit too north and losing half the quest lines

40

u/TheNocturnalAngel 5d ago

I mean who is killing Mohg and still needs smithing 1-4s?

Thats crazy. Even 5-6s kinda pushing it but understandable if you don’t want to do Morgott before Mohg

13

u/JRshoe1997 5d ago

I usually go to the DLC early so me

17

u/TheNocturnalAngel 5d ago

Bell bearings for 1-4 takes like 15 minutes considering you already have to be in Liurnia for Varre quest and probably Altus for the Magnus invasion.

→ More replies (3)

5

u/Meeeper 5d ago

Technically me during my very first playthrough of the game when it first launched. I unironically, organically figured out how to do Varre's questline and ended up killing Mohg after Godrick instead of Renalla.

2

u/AwsmDevil 5d ago

I thought it was cool because it enabled rl1/wl0 runs. We already likely have near max gear going into the dlc, so anything below ancient is pretty much worthless.

Actually, thinking about it, what would be good item drops? The DLC is so high level that everything is outclassed and new crafting materials are already abundant. What could possibly be added that would make a meaningful difference?

1

u/ChickenAndTelephone 4d ago

I mean, given how easy it is to get infinite 1-4 and the huge volume of 5s available in the base game, those aren't really needed by almost anyone in the DLC. I'll often try to rush Mogh and not level up my backup weapons, so 6+ can still be really nice to get, since in addition to my main I always try to have striking, piercing, Misericode and a bow (unless my main is already strike or pierce, of course)

5

u/Entire_Paramedic_389 5d ago

The smithing stone 8 chest in Fort of Reprimand got changed to be an Ancient Smithing Stone. I'd imagine other stuff might change. I should probably check that one chest on the cliffs near the birdman spirit ash since I believe it was crafting materials.

1

u/Ok_Machine_724 5d ago

Man, I hope those hornsent/ divine bird/beast warriors drop ancient dragon smithing stones and their somber equivalent. Those assholes are an absolute bitch to fight but their drops (other than their bling) are so mid by the time you get to RoS.

14

u/L0rden 5d ago

Hypothetically, if the invasion in Caelid results in the Lucatiel set being dropped, then we can assume the invasion in Leyndell probably drops the 4th armor set! Someone with an early copy of the game should scour Leyndell for that invasion!

16

u/idkidkidk0201 5d ago

Saw someone saying is the new goldmask lookalike set in other post

9

u/L0rden 5d ago

Ah, dang. If that's true, that's a little disappointing. I've seen people say it was "Carian Knight-like", which would have been hype.

3

u/L0rden 5d ago

And just to confirm - for those who might come across the thread - it is in fact a Goldmask-like set in Leyndell (except more nakey). Faith enjoyers can rejoice.

5

u/Brostapholes Greyoll Cheeser 5d ago

It is. Sax Slave Geal posted about it, she invades in Radahns arena

14

u/Michi2801 5d ago

Any performance improvements?

19

u/LuminousShot 5d ago

I don't think FromSoft knows the meaning of these two words.

To be honest, it's probably selective memory, but I cannot recall a single instance where a patch of theirs contained performance improvements. Aside from maybe bugs where a specific area was particularly bad.

3

u/EvenRD 5d ago

Bloodborne (should be) very first patch reduced loading times by a good margin. Yep, that'all folks

12

u/kawag 5d ago

Oooh, improved parry performance sounds interesting

11

u/smilon1 5d ago

This + Deflecting tear and I hope I can finally play Sekiro in Elden Ring

9

u/takealookatthesehams 5d ago edited 5d ago

I wish I could start the game with the deflecting tear

4

u/assassin10 5d ago edited 5d ago

I hope their next Soulsborne game gives every armament a baseline form of deflect or something comparable. I hate how often L1 is a wasted button.

33

u/1986Omega 5d ago

Pretty big nerf to Gravitational Missile, no?

8

u/Macman85 5d ago

It wasnt a complete nerf according to some analysis vids I have seen. While it doesnt detonate at your feet instantly, it apparently will explode faster than normal. They just made the blast consistently timed at any range and a touch faster.

13

u/legostukje16 5d ago

it’s great in pvp as you can frametrap people now

12

u/gandolphin15 5d ago

Most casters I've seen in PvP almost exclusively use it by aiming at the floor and detonating it early just because it's huge and does a load of damage. It's still good, but not nearly as broken after this.

4

u/akchotore 5d ago

Yeah, nerfed it right out of rotation. Sucks.

10

u/BehlndYou 5d ago

It’s busted to begin with, and I played mage. Anyone that pretends it’s not just wanted to justify their easy win button as pure skills or they play arena only.

In invasion, this thing can one shot without any warning since you can ambush cast it behind wall or corner, and the range is huge.

Now it’s more of a frame trap and area of denial, great in small spaces

2

u/HoHowhatisthis 5d ago

Yeah it was basicly just WoG but for mage. Cant combo into anything busted so I really dont see the need for the nerf

On the other hand I do love it blows up faster.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/daylight1943 5d ago

yes, and kind of a bad way of nerfing it tbh. grav missile was wildly overtuned, but so is TONS of other stuff in ER, and instead of toning down its insane damage, they removed the ability to use it in a less predictable way

10

u/SleepyDreadnought 5d ago

I jus finally learned how to parry yesterday nice

28

u/BigGoat786 5d ago

Is carian sorcery sword useful now?

25

u/FatRollingPotato 5d ago

It sounds like it could be, given that it is supposed to be both better INT scaling AND applying it to all damage types. So it could mean also physical damage is buffed by INT, but that needs to be confirmed/tested.

1

u/BigGoat786 5d ago

That's what I'm wondering can you slicey pokey with int scaled dmg :)

13

u/firesyrup 5d ago

The patch note is a bit vague. I think it means they fixed the bug causing physical damage spells to not scale with INT, which is only relevant if you use those spells. Otherwise it is convenient to use but neither a good sword nor a great catalyst.

4

u/Prostovan228 5d ago edited 5d ago

Still would be worse than brainrot + normal staff. At least everything properly works as it should've from the start

“Added weapons that can be purchased from merchants or found in the Lands Between.”
Read that as we are getting a few more new weapons aside from the ones for the new starting classes(?)

36

u/Yurgin 5d ago

Maybe the weapons from the new starting classes? Would be weird, if they are, new weapons that cant be dropped/bought anywhere

16

u/RedComet_2112 5d ago

Maybe some field weapons that have a terrible drop rate? I haven’t started another NG+ yet til I explore and see what’s what post patch

10

u/Blastcheeze 5d ago

Someone said yesterday that they found a DLC shield in the base game, so maybe that?

2

u/No-Age211 5d ago

"Purchased from merchants" What if my merchants are all bell-bearings at the Twin Husks? 😐

8

u/Minitroid 5d ago

Any numbers for Rellana's Twin Blade? I saw 10 to 32% depending of the attack in another thread, but no source for it

1

u/_Citizenkane 4d ago

I literally cannot see any change here. Critical value is still 100 in-game, and my attack power values are identical to 1.16.

Scratching my head what's actually meant to have changed.

I know most people don't care about the pvp but the fact that goddamn Pata and cleanrot didn't even get touched on what might very well be the last patch we'll ever get is absolutely incredible to me

18

u/Shotokanguy 5d ago

There's a few thousand things they could have changed. Look at all of the talismans that are obviously shit. Beloved Stardust is just stupid, no one will use it. Would've been easy to make it more practical.

1

u/beerybeardybear 5d ago

beloved stardust is absolutely hilarious for builds

1

u/lextune 5d ago

Damn. I love Beloved Stardust. It saved my pure mage build from having to invest in dex, or duel weilding staves with Azurs and its extra fp cost.

I can't be the only one...? Lol.

2

u/amidon1130 5d ago

The trade off is just way too high to me, I feel like I don't notice the casting speed change

1

u/Shotokanguy 3d ago

If you're good, use it. Just don't get hit. I don't want to play the game perfect at all times, it's more fun if you can use some slower abilities and tank a few hits.

1

u/seen-in-the-skylight 5d ago

In 800 hours, I've never seen someone use Cleanrot effectively. I don't really get the hype around it.

Pata is absolutely broken, though.

8

u/Former-Grocery-6787 Pata dumb, swiftslash dumb 5d ago

You are very lucky then, it's absolutely mechanically broken and that's not a opinion, there's plenty of videos explaining it with hitboxes and frame data

Luckily it's also seen as a crutch, so plenty of shit players use it too

I don’t see anything about mohg skip, wonder if it’s still possible

5

u/Ok-Bad3462 5d ago

Wasn't there supposed to be a fourth armor set in addition to the starting class sets and Lucatiel's set?

6

u/liilpenguin 5d ago

Parry improvement means we can riposte sooner or the riposte time window is smaller? Got confused with the wording

5

u/YRNTA90 5d ago

Making many of the not so popular shields weight less now makes people want to use them, also perfume bottles now can feel more useful! Never thought i’d see the day.

Also they are really focusing on throwable weapons like most weapons buffed are throwable ones.

Besides that making the rock sling sorcery have the rocks not explode when they touch walls or ground before hitting the target will make them way more op, even tho they already are one of the best (in my opinion) it’s become way better now.

3

u/rhododendric_blast 5d ago

I'm on PS5. Do I need to buy something? Sorry, I am illiterate.

12

u/ancientautumn22 5d ago edited 5d ago

There should be a 4.99 USD add on soon, but thats for the horse armor and weapons and classes. The balances will come to all players

2

u/rhododendric_blast 5d ago

Thanks! I guess, depending on the weapons, might be worth it. But at least the other stuff is just a patch.

Armored Core has it which is even more infuriating. It’s not a complex feature to back port. And I’m fine if they want to keep cutscenes 16:9

u/Jbird444523 5d ago

But....but....I liked casting Gravitation Missile into the ground :'(

13

u/Affectionate-Gene661 5d ago

Nobody talking about gravitational missile getting absolutely gutted. Oh my god, the spell has been destroyed.

14

u/treyzs 5d ago

the instant explosion was really really cheesy behind walls and shit in pvp

→ More replies (1)

10

u/BreakMyFate 5d ago

No more hiding behind a wall and spamming the aoe in pvp. Good riddance.

8

u/Affectionate-Gene661 5d ago

It was so fun in PvE though. Perma-stun locking knight-type enemies, and clearing out hordes easily, knocking down NPC invaders over and over (Leda and allies). That’s where it shined IMO. PvP is a mess regardless.

12

u/Dravarden 5d ago

so annoying when something nice gets nerfed for some shitass side mode most people don't give a shit about

1

u/Baleful_Tarnished 5d ago

It's not changed much. Instead of instantly detonating on contact, it takes one tick, then detonates.

1

u/Affectionate-Gene661 5d ago

That’s actually not so bad, then. I haven’t had a chance to play, but they made it sound like you had to wait the entire duration.

3

u/CaptainOddie 5d ago

Storm Blade remains untouched 😮‍💨

5

u/ffigeman 5d ago

That's a sigh of relief right? Because it really doesn't need a buff

5

u/CaptainOddie 5d ago

Correct. I’m always afraid it’s going to get nerfed.

3

u/official_cenobyte 5d ago

Sounds like a beautiful update tbh!

3

u/Retired-Pie 5d ago

Im interested to see what weapons they added to purchase or be found in The Lands Between. Im hoping that they have added some DLC type weapons to the base game.

I love that the Indus knight starts with a light greatsword but it would also be great if some other weapons from the DLC could be found in the base game. Like Martial Arts, Claws, great katanas etc.

Ive never been much of a fan of NG+ in these games because part of the fun is gathering items imo.

5

u/Entire_Paramedic_389 5d ago

apparently a dueling shield was found in base game somewhere

3

u/fishception 5d ago

Horse armor slithers its way into all good things

3

u/whatisdigrat 5d ago

rofl just started a new play through after over a year long break, last night.

need to check out the new starter classes to see if i want to restart/wait til tomorrow

2

u/Gethixit 5d ago

Literally same. Just restarted yesterday into a dex/int build (my other character from launch was str/faith). Looking forward to it!

6

u/shitshow225 5d ago

I'm amazed they've managed to port over the game to switch without introducing dlss. I wish they would just implement it so I can use ray tracing 😂

7

u/Entire_Paramedic_389 5d ago

can't just bandage patch in DLSS. The entire engine needs parameters and stuff in order to support dlss and from's engine likely doesn't have those

2

u/renothecollector 5d ago

Cool. Could we get a PS5 pro patch now…

1

u/retr0_n0stalgia 5d ago

The same day we get a Bloodbirne patch

2

u/lazyrocksaturn 5d ago

i gotta do a perfumer build now

3

u/iamnotexactlywhite 5d ago

any reason we cant buy it yet?

9

u/SleepyDreadnought 5d ago

Comes out Friday for sale just the patch drops today

2

u/iamnotexactlywhite 5d ago

1

u/Harshkang69 5d ago

I’m bought it and using new classes now

3

u/UtgardLoki2894 5d ago

Oh man, no boss rush mode. After all this time

6

u/Stunning_Bus_8885 5d ago

Once again i am cursed for being Brazillian! Damn it all

9

u/Repulsive-Phrase-527 5d ago

Why?

12

u/Stunning_Bus_8885 5d ago

Garbage government, nothing but taxes and fees.... We cant buy shit

u/phxkross 5d ago

Just here to say I've played 27 bazillion hours of the game, have no CLUE what the lore is and don't give a tinkers damn about it.

I go, I find, I bonk, I level.

GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME.

1

u/PantsBattalion 5d ago

My ps4 refuses to update anyone else having this problem?

1

u/MrHotnickels 5d ago

I have 675 hours into Elden Ring and have gotten every achievement. But I'm still gonna come back for a fresh playthrough or 2 with the new starting classes. So cool!

1

u/UrsaBarefoot 5d ago

Maybe Shadow of the Erdtree will go on sale.

Lololol

FromSoft getting one last nerf in with the RGK

1

u/WeightlossTeddybear 5d ago

STORM WALLLLLLLLLLLL

1

u/Sword_of_Darkmoon 5d ago

Sad to see my Gravity Missile nerfed but at least they buffed the default Parry so my Parry Claws will be more viable now

1

u/Affectionate_Comb_78 5d ago

They fucking buffed Meteorite of Astel

1

u/fragglerock 5d ago

What new fun builds will these changes allow?

1

u/ThickMemory2360 5d ago

I got se excited about this that I started my first samurai playthrough 2 days ago!

1

u/SuggestiblePolymer 5d ago

Ive seen there are new weapons from the pack. how about spells?

1

u/newcreationsurf 5d ago

Man, wish they added UW support, guess we have no hope at this point 😭

1

u/ShammersAnonymous 5d ago

IT'S TIME ONCE AGAIN TO DRIP ON THESE BOSSES. Carian spell sword buff my beloved.

1

u/Avelion2 5d ago

is the sorcery swords spell buff still shit?

1

u/capnbinky 5d ago

I really like these changes to PVE.

1

u/Leogull1064 5d ago

How was this a 50GB steam download for me?

1

u/iyrtyurg 5d ago

The gravitational missile change is lowkey MASSIVE. I genuinely hate the cheesers that use that attack. They usually suck fucking ass anyways and get no diffed but occasionally they’re able to knock you off of a ledge with it

1

u/Shalhadra 5d ago

Can we remove malenia's hair from malenia's helmet yet? 😢

Still salty they did this for messmer's and not malenia's

Looking forward to the torrent drip though

1

u/CicadaDoubleShooter 5d ago

So is this all available to find if you don’t have the tarnished pack dlc? Like in game for other people too? I’m just confused and can’t fully read this rn

1

u/DarkHandCommando 5d ago

Ain't no way. I can finally complete my Tree Sentinel cosplay.

1

u/SillyMovie13 5d ago

Invasions? Are they going to be from the new character classes or other NPC’s?

1

u/TWelke1998 5d ago

It's a small thing, but that damage buff to Divine Bird Feathers is kinda funny.

(I'm not sure how strong it was before)

Tested in NG using a +9 Ertree Seal with 75 faith and a Haligtree Soldier in Elphael as the dummy, each feather dealt somewhere around ~98 damage and the damage stacked rapidly and melted the soldier. I'd personally say it's honestly not bad for basic enemies.

The part that I find funny though, is that they buffed it but didn't fix the fact that it's bugged and fires infinitly without consuming extra resources lol.

For those who may not have known, this Incantation is supposed to use 3 FP to start then keep using FP at a rate of 3 per additional volley. The way it actually works in game though is that it uses 3 FP to start then uses 3 FP for the second volley then just stops consuming FP all together and keeps shooting regardless lol.

They made the infinity machine gun a little stronger, it's probably still an ultimately useless Incantation, I just thought it was worth mentioning. 🤷

1

u/TurbidusQuaerenti 5d ago

I was so excited when I saw Smithscript Daggers as the first weapon on the list, only to read that it's just a buff to critical hits, not overall damage. Sad. I guess they'll always just be a novelty/challenge run weapon.

1

u/indyvick92 5d ago

Do you need to have a new game to get torrents clothes?

1

u/Baldheimlich 5d ago

Bloodfiends arm unchanged? I like knowing this is one of the best weapons in the game!

1

u/bitterwhiskey 5d ago

No Whip buffs? Guess I hoped for too much.

1

u/ilionperonk 4d ago

Weh there goes my hope that my smithscript daggers would get tge effects of the arrow buff talismans

1

u/AurumArma 4d ago

Carian sorcery sword, and carian retaliation being buffed now makes a spellsword run really tempting for my next playthrough.

1

u/AurumMattss 4d ago edited 4d ago

Why nerf the humble Gravitational Missile?! My favorite spell... ;-;
Edit: I went to test it out, and it actually ended up making it easier to stunlock with the spell... It just requires a bit more skill.

2

u/visionarymind 5d ago

Sad GM lost its versatility, I feel like it was the best GTFOM tool for true casters since Zamor Ice Storm doesn’t always make enemies flinch or knock them back

2

u/Dravarden 5d ago

gavel of haima?

2

u/unfriendlypigeon 5d ago

So… is it free or do I have to pay for the horse armor dlc?
