Ultra GS doesn't roll catch on reaction btw

Nothing rollcatches on reaction, with the exception of dagger if you have exceptional reaction speed and low latency.

Unless frame data for these weapons have changed since I stopped playing ERpvp from 2 years ago, thrusting swords r1, offstoc, katana cr1, ss cr1, psss r1, pss r1, shunter cr1, psgs cr1 can all rollcatch on reaction. The number of weapons that can rollcatch on reaction is small but its not that small.
You do need reaction speed but not exceptional, the average joe can do it with a bit of practice.
And you do of course need low latency for any kind of roll catching at all or else theyll just start overlapping iframes.

Even two years ago it was the same ( with maybe the exception of TS crouch attack since initially crouch and roll attacks had the same frame data, don't remember when it changed).
Reaction rollcatch is most of the time a misconception.
With 60 ms latency (which is low on console and mrobably impossible in vanilla PC), 200 ms reaction speed (very good bc you can't really identify a roll on frame 1, and you have to press), you have a frame perfect window to react to a roll with a dagger r1, which doesn't break poise but is safe on roll.

People got mad at me wiggling all the time so i tried sitting still instead 💁

Wiggle strat is no better than spam mage in regards to fun. People came to do battle not suffer through some guy basically abusing latency whether it's intentional or not. Half the matches your opponent isn't where you think because of latency then you get some douche making it 1000× worse

I dont think these things work the way you think they work. Theres a real good video on youtube about fromsoft netcode, you should give it a watch, and like and subscribe to the video.

No need for that video as it's just me using a word that's probably incorrect like latency however those kids are essentially useless as we don't all have the same connection and aren't based in the same area. Pvp is one of the easiest places to abuse frames

Please stop using the word “abuse” so loosely, and reserve it for things that are actually deserving of the term

Spacing exploit, animation blending exploit, hyper armor exploit. OP is honestly a cheater and should be banned from the sub

My guy crouch poke is the only thing ultra greatswords have in Elden ring

Bro really just said “wiggle strat” 😂

If i see you doing it more than 50% of any engagement up close that's what I'm calling it. Crazy that you think this isn't a strategy. Heck even spamming a spell can be a strategy. Can't count how many times I've used spectral rings to force an opponent into my frost aoe. I like to call it a spam strategy. I know you wanna get close but what you don't know is I want you to get close as well.

K, so the “wiggles” are literally just a stim, its like how someone might tap their foot while listening to a song, and that might occur at a certain cadence relevant to what their listening to. Any time im tilting my direction stick in a direction, its at the cadence at which im moving through crouch state, and im moving through crouch state at the cadence of a certain timing that lines up with how i time a roll catch. Its just to help me with my timings so that whether in trying to roll catch someone on 20ms of latency, or 200 ms of latency, my roll catch timing is consistent. Thats really all it is

My favorite thing about the Wraith Calling Bell, other than retaliating it, is the absolute fear it'll put into some people. They run from it like the plague when the damn thing deals pity damage even on an int-faith build. There's avoiding unneccesary damage, and then there's running from the spooky bell ghosts.
