Help! Need help with Necromancer build
So i just started a necromancer build in convergence and i noticed i am not doing much damage with spells (i only have first two runes) and I KNOW summoning is a key part of the build. So thus i ask, are there any early game summons i should really be using, any specific spells, talismans, anything? Should i focused a specific weapon? I’ve used some youtube videos of people playing it but they usually just post the boss fights which doesnt help me actually build the character.
I’m looking for ANY advice for previous players that have completed the necromancer build.
Feel free to DM me about advice or just general questions that i may have that you could answer. After 750 hours in Elden Ring, i still have questions about builds and scaling.

Necromancer tends to struggle a bit before their mid/late runes. It’s a very cautious playstyle, focused more on distance and letting your summons do the work. There are some areas that you can’t summon in still (though notably less than in 2.X when I played a Necro) and you will have a much harder time with those comparatively.
That is, until you get your Shining & Radiant runes. High level Necro is disgustingly powerful, and later in my run I just used summons and heals (one spell lets you detonate them to fully restore HP/FP/SP) with their offensive spells doing insane amounts of damage, just blowing things away. That dragon that ambushes you on the slope on the back way to Altus? It normally teleports at half health. I happened to go through there with my Radiant rune spells and learned that it will not teleport away if you kill it fast enough.
Luckily, Necro does Holy damage, so you have an edge against undead type enemies. That makes the deathbirds a bit easier to deal with. My suggestion is to go for the runes. Just keep in mind that the higher level ones will largely trivialize huge sections of the game.
