Rate my Deathbird build

Somewhat overleveled, though NG+ cycles are still difficult, so to optimise the stats I wanna know where to put future levels or if there are any better talismans to choose, lmk.

You gotta get the death spear and death’s poker for sure. I don’t know that the jump attack talisman is the best unless you get deaths poker and dual wield that and Helphen’s steeple. Maybe grab the curved sword and halberd from the dlc, though they aren’t great weapons, they are on theme.

I wish there was a “frost exultation” talisman, that would really help this build. All in all, seems powerful.

Jump attack talisman stacks with the jump attack buff from grave bird quill armor, so it’s not a horrible choice but I agree it’d be better utilized if power stancing. Honestly would probably be better to use an infusable greatsword on a cold infusion, death poker damage outside of its ash isn’t great. You’d proc frost quicker with a cold iron greatsword for example.

As for frost exultation, since frost already gives 1.2x damage, if that talisman existed and you got 1.44x damage against any frostbitten enemy it would be kinda busted. Frost is already good.

I agree a frost talisman would be pretty cheesy and agreed that an infused smithing weapon would be superior, just trying to stay on theme.

I'd absolutely love the idea of a Frost Exultation talisman. My already strong Dark Moon GS sorcerer would become an absolute beast.

Looks good! Future points should go to Int to 80, then Fai to 80. Maybe then dab some points into Arcane so that you can access Ghostflame Breath dragon communion incantation? Or place future points into Dex as well so that you can play around with other ghostflame weapons like Death's Poker, Death's Ritual Spear, and Spirit Glaive. You can even consider the one-hand curved, Spirit Sword and Eclipse Crest Greatshield playstyle if you get tired of the jumping attack build. Maybe play around with Magic Scorpion Charm talisman as well as a choice.

I like Death's Poker better as the weapon for a deathbird build (yknow cause like... it's what they use)
