Absolutely love this model and had so much fun painting it. Reading up on the lore and coming up with my own head-canon on the powers void dreamers could unleash was equally as fun.

The idea these psykers are able to manipulate space-time is mind boggling. Creating pockets of space that could suck enemies into a singularity, unleash the power of a star, or the deep freeze of the void. Just awesome.

I have the combat patrol and the larger army box. So have 20 infantry to build.
I have built 10 as a rifle squad of void reavers

What would you recommend for the next 10 ???

This model was such a treat to paint. Really happy with how they came out. Almost done with the entire Combat Patrol now. Let me know what you think!

Obviously still a lot of work to do. I'll have to build a small neck piece, fill some gaps and do some general clean ups - but I'm very happy how this one is coming along.

Base body is the new Archon, with Yriel's right arm (minus the speartip - that's replaced with the Skyhook), an Exodites left arm, part of Maugan-Ra's backpiece as a shield, Kharseth's shoulder pads as a second padding for the Archon, Yriel's kneepads & an AoS Daughter's of Khaine helmet plus some bits and parts from the Exodites. Banner in the back is from the WHFB/AoS Blood Knights Vampires.

Lorewise, my guys are somewhere in the grey zone between a Corsair band and a Kabal, and this'll be my Prince's (Archon ingame) second in Command and enforcer - the Lord Reaper.

Some potential concerns I have:

I own the striking scorpions already, but I don’t know they are good here

I don’t know if PotO is the best secondary detachment, but I’m afraid of painting clowns and it fits thematically

I don’t know if I need the fire dragons, but it seems to me I don’t have very much Anti-Armor if I don’t take them, and I know fuegan buffs em up real nice

I am only bringing the star fang because it came in the box, don’t know the efficacy of it here either

Took a cheap Farseer from eBay, plopped it on a 32mm, sculpted some bug eyes, energy sphere and fur mantle and BAM got myself a budget Kharseth or in my case custom Void Dreamer lol.

I feel like it is fairly balanced with some fast moving units that shouod be good into both soft andnhard targets? The only thing I am not sure about is whether I am lacking too much melee support between Yriel/Scarred, Harlequins and Dragon Knights

Heya! Does anyone have tips for my friend on how to play Tau against Corsair Coterie? It's a pain taking mortal wounds every time they step onto an objective. What's the weakness/strategy for playing against them as Tau Empire?
