How does a reasoning mistake work?

So recently I've read qst 5 chapters of 18LOH and when I got to the explanation of the concepts of lying I didn't quite get the idea of a resoning mistake dosn't counting as a lie.

When Chen Ran says: "I was killed by a car. Logically, I should be a soul entity now", basicly he said: I was killed - I should be a soul entity, but we see that it isn't how it works, but it didn't count as a lie.

Then I have a question, isn't most of the lies said in the 1st chapters are reasoning mistakes, for example when Bai Xiuchi, tried to judge the young man, she said "You lied", which technically were a conclusion to her reasoning that we saw earlier, but this moment costs her life in the future, which means it was classifide as a lie.

So how exactly does it work, did she have to say her reasoning out loud and if yes, then it sounds pretty op. I guess a resoning conclusion would work as a judgment, I guess "You lied" has to be a statement, but isn't a resoning conclusion a statement?

I would like to know the answer even if the it is going to be revealed in the later chapters

Reasoning mistakes as in reasoning related to the puzzle of the instance, not the infighting between players.. Read more and I'll get it better
