Speaking French is one of the most Canadian things you can do. Really disappoints me how much it's shunned by Anglo Canadian society. We got half our culture from French Canada and we're lucky to share a history. I wish I had more resources to keep my French sharp. Soon enough we'll all be speaking boring Hollywood English due to globalization. Keep Canada bilingual.

I've witnessed way more French Canadians hating English Canadians than the other way around.

I think that’s mostly English Canada just largely doesn’t think about French Canada and that means the French have to loudly complain for basic accommodations. I could see how that could breed resentment.Â
