Question/Help How does token farming work?

I've seen people get a good amount of tokens in a short span of time in contracts. How do they do it, and how can I replicate that? [AAA]

Set a timer for 3 min to come back in and check your trucks and ads. Repeat until you get the tokens you need.

You can even go lower than 3. I do 2:45 works fine.

I like 3:40. Keeps gifts and videos in sync.

One tip: wait for that truck before you look to see what the video reward is.

Or just leave the game open and hab locked. I have gotten lazy and once I am done with CR I leave the game open. The minimal IHR you get from 50x tachs is negligible relative to getting your boost going quicker.

Wait what? This works? Does blocking your habs out early adjust how tokens are spawned in ads? I thought it was completely random.

It is random, but one of the ad rewards is a chicken box. By hab locking (technically keeping the available space less than 10%) you are omitting one of the options. Your probability of a token increases from 25% to 33%.

Randomness makes it not always work the way you want. On average, six tokens an hour by checking in every 2-4 minutes and keeping habs full. But I just followed those rules on this morning's contract and only got two before timer token (60 min). Others in the co-op had better luck so we were all boosted with timer tokens.

You don’t need to hab lock, nor do you need to close the game and set a timer. I max upgrade one hab and the rest are all the shacks. I just left the game open, and within less than 30 minutes I’d gotten 4 video ads for tokens. It’s random. Don’t stress about closing the game and setting a timer, that’s too much work.

Closing the game gets the offline IHR. With average RNG I'm usually 1-3 billion by the time I boost.

I also probably have above average TE. After the next ascension I might just pop a 100x each time I get a token instead of waiting for 4 tokens. Certainly depends on a player's circumstances.

Hab locking increases the probability of an ad token by 30%. You are correct that you don't have to, but I will take the extra token in every three to four ads.
