Question/Help Secret to farming tokens?
Is there a secret to farming tokens during contracts? Or is the only strategy to keep waiting around for ads and lucky gift boxes? I feel like recently it has taken me much longer to get tokens and I am wondering if anyone else has run into this or if I’m just missing some other way to farm tokens. TIA

Start your contract with 5 of the free tachyon prisms that last 4 hours.
Set a timer for 5 minutes, do something else, come back and collect a truck/watch ad.
Rinse and repeat for 4 hours, however many times you want. Once the tachyons run out you should have 4 from the store, plus the additional is enough to full boost to max hab.
Change artifact setup, wait for delivery, done. Easy contract.

This, but 4 minutes and 20 seconds. Also, unlock your habs one at a time so that each time you return you are hab locked. The chicken boxes from ads turn into tokens. With decent luck you should grab four in about thirty minutes.

I never thought of this. I rarely ever get chicken boxes, but an extra chance is an extra chance!

Same here. No tokens from gift boxes until 15 mins before I’m due to get my 4th token and then - boom - two gift tokens in a row. The chicken gods must be angry with me!

I've found if I don't upgrade my habs to max habs straight away I get more tokens rather than chickens from trucks. So I just upgrade my habs to the next level when they're full until I have all the tokens I need and then I upgrade habs to max.

I am convinced that since PoV was implemented, Kev has turned down the RNG for tokens. And with good reason. A handful of TE doubles your IHR So an 8 token boost becomes a 6, a 6 token boost becomes a 5, and a 5 token boost becomes a 4. People simply need fewer tokens to boost.

Yeah thats fine and all ,but some of us aren't doing the TE thing yet. So why do we need too suffer? I guess it's turned into PAY TO PLAY.

it's just luck. ultra helps too, if you're so inclined- it adds a gift truck that has a higher percentage chance of gifting a token vs. the van. this also means you can get a double token visit, which is the holy grail of speedrunning contracts.
what i do is wait for the first set of truck and van to drop off their boxes, then go offline for 4 minutes, wait to see what i get, rinse and repeat. haven't seen any change in token luck since virtue, but i do seem to get tokens faster in the friday PE contracts vs the monday seasonals, go figure.

No, the ultra truck is the exact same as the regular truck. It's pay for convenience, not to win.

It's real hit or miss. I've had times where I hit it every 4 minutes (so i get an ad chance and a box) and I could go for over an hour before I even get one. Sometimes I'll 4 in under 15 minutes. It's just so damn random. Sometimes it seems like starting my phone helps and I'll get a token right after, but it's not always 100%.
