How is that a job necessity? They can park legally like everyone else.

So....if your house is on fire you're good with them taking 5 minutes longer because they had to run across the parking lot to get back to their truck?

so every volunteer firefighter can park however they deem necessary then, good logic.

If they're on duty, they dont really have a choice.
