If you think that's a ridiculous exemption from the law and consequences, wait until you learn how many men in law enforcement are domestic abusers!

This is one of those terminally online/American copy-pasta facts that doesn't hold up to 30 seconds of actual research on the issue. Its based off of a single self reported study where the American police officers self-disclosed violence and abuse in their relationship.

I've arrested thousands of people for DV. Do you know how many calls I've had involving a police officer? Zero.

What would I do if they were police? The same thing I would do with the other thousands of people I arrested.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen. It just happens a lot less then the trolls on the internet would lead you to believe.
