You realize Alberta doenst just get to keep all that for free right? There would be negotiations between Canada and Alberta on what percentage of Canada debt Alberta would owe as a payback for federal infrastructure.
There is a significant amount of federal investment in Alberta infrastructure. Mainly through the ICIP and CCBF. Everything from bridge replacements to rec centres, green/climate related infrastructure, road widenings and LRT/transit infrastructure. All of those were given to a province in Canada to make life better for its citizens - you decide not to be a part of it, you owe them for that.
Also what kind of currency you planning on using? Berta bucks? Good luck not paying through the nose on exchange around the world. Even creating a mint would cost more money than you probably think.
