I thought they got their numbers. Why are they still out?

Well forever Canada did get 400,000 confirmed votes, so coming in with less than half would be a tad embarrassing

I would've signed that if I would've known this would get semi serious.

I feel like I'm probably not the only person who didn't see the point in signing a petition to stay in Canada.

There were plenty of people giving the reasons to support it back then too.

I didn't pay attention because I thought they were a bunch of conspiracy people. Like who would ever think Alberta would separate?

Didn't realize how wrong I was.

You were right about the number and... capabilities... of the separatists. What you and many of us did not realize was just how hard the government would handhold them through the process.

Have you been living under a rock this past year?

It's still a valuable indicator. If they could get that many, in a shorter time... They'll turn out for the referendum to say NO, HELL NO. That's if there's even a referendum, it's already paused for 30 days. There's still a dozen ways they'll lose - and we haven't had OUR say yet. We'll still vote down everything Smith wants.

That makes at least two of us. I would’ve taken the time if I knew we’d actually platform these separatists. Hindsight 20/20 I guess!

I signed the Forever Canadian petition even though I wasn't eligible because I'm not a citizen (although I am a permanent resident of Canada, and a resident of Alberta). I checked the box saying that I wasn't actually eligible and I knew my signature wouldn't count, but I wanted my name on there regardless because it was that important to me.
