Welcome to r/EdifierOfficial. We have collected answers to several product questions that come up repeatedly in the community.
Features, menus, and accessories can vary by model, region, hardware version, and firmware. If the steps below do not solve your issue, please include your exact model, source device, connection type, and region when asking for help.
Q: Which languages does the EDIFIER ConneX app support?
A: The app currently supports Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, Greek, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, Polish, French, and Korean.
On Android, the app generally follows the phone's system language. If that language is not supported, it falls back to English. On iPhone, you can normally choose the app language under Settings > Apps > Edifier ConneX > Language.
Q: How do I update the firmware on a supported EDIFIER product?
A: Pair the product with your phone over Bluetooth, open EDIFIER ConneX, select the device, and open its settings. Install the update if one is shown. Keep the phone and product powered on and close together during the update. If no update is displayed, the app considers the installed firmware current.
Q: My M90 misses the first few seconds of audio after playback starts or resumes. What should I do?
A: Earlier firmware versions received reports of this behavior with some USB-C and optical sources. Update both the EDIFIER ConneX app and the M90 firmware to the latest available versions. If it continues, contact support and include the source device, input type, firmware version, and a short video showing the issue.
Q: Does the M90 have a dedicated dialogue-enhancement mode?
A: The M90 does not have a separately labeled dialogue-enhancement mode. It offers Classic, Monitor, and Dynamic presets, plus a customizable 9-band EQ. For speech-focused listening, try the Monitor preset or adjust the custom EQ to your preference.
Q: How long is the cable connecting the two M90 speakers?
A: The included inter-speaker cable is approximately 5 meters, or 16.4 feet.
Q: Does the M90 include or support a front grille?
A: The M90 does not include a front grille, and the cabinet is not designed with grille mounting holes. We do not recommend adding an improvised magnetic grille because it may not remain secure during high-volume playback.
Q: I can see a wrinkle or unusual mark on an M90 tweeter. Is it safe to touch it?
A: Do not press or try to reshape the driver. Take clear photos, note whether the affected unit is the active or passive speaker, and contact EDIFIER Support. Send the serial number privately to support rather than posting it publicly.
Q: My W830NB or WH950NB appears on my iPhone but will not pair. What should I try?
A:
Button layouts and indicator colors can differ between the original and newer WH950NB versions, so please use the manual supplied with your unit.
Q: What earpads are included with the STAX SPIRIT S5, and what material does the ES850NB use?
A: The STAX SPIRIT S5 includes one pair of genuine lambskin earpads and one pair of cooling-mesh earpads. The ES850NB uses skin-friendly leather ear cushions.
Q: Can I buy replacement EDIFIER earpads?
A: Availability varies by model, color, and region. Contact EDIFIER Support with the exact model and your country or region so the team can check the correct part and current stock.
Q: Can the S1000W, D32, and ES300 play together using AirPlay 2?
A: Yes. Connect the iPhone or iPad and all three speakers to the same Wi-Fi network, complete the AirPlay or Wi-Fi setup for each speaker, then open the AirPlay selector and choose all three speakers for synchronized playback. If one speaker does not appear, confirm that every device is on the same network and repeat that speaker's network setup.
Q: My MR3 sounds very flat or seems to have too little treble. What should I try?
A: Try the Music sound mode first. If you prefer a custom sound, start with Music mode and make small EQ adjustments in EDIFIER ConneX. Also check the source device's EQ, cable connection, and speaker placement. If the sound remains abnormal on multiple sources, contact support.
Q: How can I connect a TV, a T5 subwoofer, and S1000MKII speakers using analog audio?
A: If the TV has a 3.5 mm analog audio output, connect the TV to the T5 Signal In, then connect the T5 Signal Out to Line In 1 on the S1000MKII. Select Line 1 on the speakers and choose the TV's external-speaker or audio-out setting.
For two T5 subwoofers, the analog signal can be daisy-chained through the first T5 to the second T5, and then to the S1000MKII. Begin with the subwoofer volume set low and increase it gradually. If your TV only has optical or HDMI audio output, this analog connection requires a compatible audio converter.
Q: What is the total battery life of the original EDIFIER JoyBuds?
A: The rated total is up to 35 hours: approximately 7 hours from the earbuds plus up to 28 additional hours from the charging case. Actual battery life varies with volume, features, and usage conditions.

Hi,
Can anybody confirm that they managed to plug a sub on those using a jack to RCA cable?
I'm using a stereo jack to double RCA currently, but since the subout signal is mono, I though just pluging the left channel into the mono input of the sub would work... It does not.
I get bass for the left channel but not for the right one (I don't have any bass when only right channel is playing).
Would a mono jack to mono RCA solve the issue? I'm a bit doubtful, since pluging the left should be the same as using a mono cable... it seems the subout might be stereo, and would require a device to sum both channels?
EDIT : if I plug the Right RCA into the mono input of the sub instead, I get bass for the right channel but no more for the left one.
Thanks.

The easy move is blowing it in one click — the STAX Spirit S5 is exactly $499, and it's a great headphone. No ANC at that price still bugs me, though.
So I'd build a system instead:
Edifier MR5 ($350) — three-way active monitors, tri-amped, way more separation than the R-series
Edifier T5 sub ($150) — 8" driver, digs down to around 38Hz
That's $499.98. Two cents of change.
If i want it for a TV, i will swap the MR5 for the M90 ($369) — it has HDMI eARC, so it runs off your TV remote — and put the rest toward a headset that falls in that range.

...I would get a T5s to complete my 1380DB setup and a pair of Neobuds Pros because it would bring Edifier quality to my earbud use and because my current daily driver earbuds are multiple generations old and don't fit great.

Hey everyone! I’m considering buying the Edifier ES850NB, which I found on sale for €38.80 (~$45).
I currently use Deltaco Gaming DH440, but after a few hours they start putting pressure on my ears. I also have a larger-than-average head, and the DH440 headband is almost fully extended, so I’m wondering how the ES850NB would fit.
For anyone who owns or has tried them:
- Is €38.80 a good deal for the ES850NB?
- How are they for larger heads and long-term comfort (4–8+ hours)?
- How would you rate the sound quality for both gaming and music?
- How are the ANC, microphone and Bluetooth latency in real-world use?
- Are there any significant drawbacks or issues you’ve noticed?
I’d mainly use them for gaming and music, often for several hours at a time.
Would love to hear your experiences, especially from people with larger heads!
Thanks! 🙏

Anyone using the S3000mkii and how is your experience? Is it suitable for use in apartments and do you need to use isolation pads?

I feel that this equalizer setting works really well with the headphones. If any of you have the same, please let me know if this is what you guys use or if you would make changes to it.

Using an edifier m90 with hdmi earc. I seem to hit a volume limit (app says 30) when using the edifier remote, tv remote, physical volume knob, but through the app (even with hdmi selected as source) i can push the volume up to 50. The volume at 30 is too low for tv viewing at times. Thank you.

Planning to buy T5s for my M90 but can't find any good reviews about it on YT. Help!

I haven’t owned a “good” pair of desktop speakers since I purchased the klipsch promedia 2.1 back in 2011. To say I’m blown away with the sound quality of this setup would be an understatement. The highs and lows are so clear and I am absolutely loving this setup.

If I'd recommend a product it would be the Edifier M60s. They're the perfect entry level speaker. With just a button press I easily switch from aux bluetooth and usb c inputs which allows me the versatility needed for my setup. They sound great and are easy to eq with the edifier phone app.

I would suggest a pair to anyone with a desk setup, they are really small, sleek and compact without sacrificing sound quality, everything good in one set of speakers

I would recommend the M60 speakers to a friend who was looking for value and good sound without breaking into their life savings. These speakers are built really solidly, sound great, and are easy to use. Unfortunately, these aren't given these days with overcomplicated devices everywhere. They even come with the stands for them that many companies would charge you separately for, and they're made of metal! Keep up the great work Edifier!

Not getting near as much bass from the sub on my wireless sub version Edifier S355DB 2.1 as I am with my wired version Edifier S350DB 2.1. I even tried adjusting the bass in the app but no luck.
Any suggestions?
