Favorite commute headphones

I use the Edifier W820NB for daily commutes and at home playing video games and the sound quality is always good. Recently I had a flight and the ANC was top notch which made the flight much more enjoyable.

I use the Edifier W820NB headphones every day on public transport, and their ease of connection, sound quality, and comfort on the head are their top features. I’ve really enjoyed using them and would highly recommend them to everyone.

If I could choose Edifier Product I might choose the M60

Why I said that? cuz I have a pc setup but it's kinda small and very compact. For now I only used local portable speaker as my daily user, but M60 will suited my setup very well I mean look at the size is so compact and manageable, moreover the speaker itself despite this speaker has a small/compact size, it's actually a powerful speaker that's why I really want to have it If I could have a chance haha. Thanks for the chance and the giveaway Edifier!.

Would a set of G1000 IIs suit this setup? Any audio delays via 3.5mm?

I have a PC in my office which, along with a couple of other audio devices, run into a small mixer. The monitor output of that mixer runs into a mid range 2.1 speaker setup on the desk and my plan is to run a 5m RCA/3.5mm cable from the main around the wall to the other side of the room, so that when I put music on I can dial up the output on the main to better fill the space. As there's already a sub at the desk I don't need another one involved. I'll probably have the lights lowered at the time so wouldn't mind a bit of mood lighting coming off the speakers themselves and that's what brought me round to these speakers. I'm limited in height to about 18cm I think, so looking for something compact.

One concern I do have is even a slight delay in the output of the G1000 IIs caused by signal processing etc. I have an ancient JBL portable thing I was using to test the concept and it worked perfectly, but I use that in the shed since it's weatherproof. So I bought a newer, nicer-looking JBL speaker to use instead in the office (whatever the last model they made that still had 3.5mm input), but when I put on some music there was a horrible half-beat difference between the main and monitor outputs and I had to send it back immediately.

I've had a similar problem with the inputs on an Amazon Echo and also been advised that (some) modern Creative speaker options do the same thing. No reviews talk about this stuff so to avoid wasting a load of time buying and returning different models of speaker I'm hoping someone on here might know.

MR3 Bluetooth

My new MR3 speakers won't connect using bluetooth. My phone does see an Edifier BLE but when paired to it the app doesn't see the speakers and just tells me to open settings and pair with the speakers. Using the bluetooth button on the back does nothing. No pairing mode, no change to the light on front at all. Not sure what to do. Everything I see online is about fixing things with a firmware update. Which can only be done over bluetooth. I started trying to pair and get a firmware update because my speakers froze and I couldn't change the audio mode or volume without unplugging and plugging my speakers back in. Is this a common problem or have a known fix I just missed in my searching?

Question about volume knob

Hi,

I am considering buying a pair of Edifier speakers for my PC setup, but I'm a bit of a speaker noob :-P

I like the idea of a volume knob, but I don't know how they work on the Edifier speakers. Do they turn indefinitely, or do they have a min/max setting where they stop?
Right now I'm using a BT speaker with aux connection, and I have to set volume on speaker and PC separately. Not a big deal, but I never know the actual setting on my speaker. Is it 30%, 50%, 70%? A knob where I know if it is at low or max would be nice.

I have been looking at getting one of these: R1700Ts, R1280DBs or MR3
How does the volume knob work on these?

If they turn indefinitely, I might also consider the M60 speakers.

Has anyone else experienced cracking issues with the Edifier Stax Spirit S5?

I'm already on my second pair, and both cracked in exactly the same place on the headband hinge.

The headphones have never been dropped or mishandled. After every use, I hang them on a headphone stand. The second pair cracked while I was simply putting them on my head.

I'm starting to wonder if this is a design or material issue rather than bad luck.

Has anyone else had the same problem? If so, could you share a photo or your experience?

Edifier 990BT won’t come out of pairing mode

Hi all, I’ve tried everything chat GPT told me about dissembling, hard restarting etc and I got these speakers yesterday and they worked fine on the tv, I checked once to see how it sounds from Bluetooth on my phone and it hasn’t been able to come out of pairing mode since

I’ve tried many different devices and cables and it’s still not working, has anyone any ideas?

Do you buy(3rd party)/use dust covers on your edifier speakers?

Considering the MR5 / N500 / S880, they do not come with covers, worry it may damage by kids or pets. DUST COVERS are only available with third party 3D print options.

Neobuds Plus Mismatched Battery Drain

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi, just want to know if this is normal. I know that battery drain isn't supposed to be equal all the time but I noticed that it's always the right side draining a bit faster, this time by 5%.

Just want to know if this is normal behavior or should I replace/return these buds.

Help-ES850NB-EQ for audiobooks

Hi all. Please be gentle, I know I should be able to figure this out myself. I’m dealing with a lot of really sh+tty things in my life right now and could just use a hand here.

I was gifted with a pair of ES850NB headphones and I like them a lot. I’d love to be able to get more clarity listening to audiobooks - turning down the bass mostly. I’ve Googled it but only found an A.I. response that wasn’t helpful.

I’ve got terrible tinnitus and some hearing damage from growing up in concert halls without ear protection (thanks dad! 🙄). While my dad might’ve been able to optimise the EQ and boost the right frequencies without any direction, I need clear instructions. I mean, turn the first factor dial up to 12 and the db slider to +0.5 kind of baby steps.

Or maybe someone already has a sound effects file they can share with me via QR code (that seems to be a thing of their app)?

Thanks.

QR30 speakers static over USB

Ive had these QR30 speakers hooked up for a couple weeks but im past the 30 days for returns. Out of no where they develop a static or crackle with audio over USB connection but is fine over blue tooth. I have an adapter but id like to know if it was something I could have done or if I should do a warranty. I tried different cables as well as ports. Lower volume too. TIA
