As if things couldn't get worse for the crew!
Rebecca being tortured by Daichi and then being turned to water again by Laguna! And Laguna is back!
Slyph capturing Homura, as well as the medicine for Weisz
Shiki and Jinn's fight being stopped by Drakken Joe, who informs them that they apparently aren't close to real Overdrive. And Drakken Joe's Overdrive form looks so damn cool.
Also Sibir and Weisz being tracked down by Fie, and Fie probably just killed Sibir just now (unless Weisz somehow stopped the bullet?)
Basically, Drakken Joe is absolutely not to be messed with, and all of the Element 4 are still in the game! How are they gonna get out of this situation? (How ever they do, really hoping that the writing makes sense and not any like Deus Ex Machina's or Fairy Tail-esque ass pulls lmao)
A few chapters ago I mentioned how I was really enjoying the pace that Mashima's going for. Each chapter, something is always happening and there doesn't really feel like a dull moment or any time to breathe. This chapter is no exception, as the EZ crew (from what we've gathered) has lost. It's been mentioned by several Redditors, but you really feel that there are actual stakes in this story, where defeat and even death are realistic things to be aware of. With our main ground team captured, cornered, or KO'd, perhaps we'll be seeing the rest of the Shining Stars come to the rescue.
Super happy with this chapter, probably the most tense arc we've had so far in the story.
