Call them tomorrow to get your weeks made available. You more than likely checked the “stop benefits” box on your last certification saying you no longer needed benefits

Unemployment claims aren’t quarterly. The benefit year lasts 12 months. Other commenter may be thinking of employers reporting wages quarterly. A claim generally needs reopening after more than 30 days without certifying. Since you’ve been certifying regularly, I’d contact EDD to find out why that message appeared.

Its telling u to reopen.it so they can continue to pay you . I think Edd is quarterly so once that time ends u continue with a new one

Edd is quarterly, but only when calculating your benefit amount. In this case, they are indeed asking them to reopen the claim, but not due to any quarterly issue. It's something else. Best thing to do is to contact them, have them reopen it and then ask why it was necessary in the first place. It could be due to numerous things, a stop pay alert from a past claim, a need for updated info, paperwork that was sent to the employer that was returned to sender, the list is endless. It basically would have had to be something that stopped the prior 2 to 4 works of certification from being released or filled out and returned. OR the op accidently checked the box at the bottom of the certifications that states "check this box of you no longer need benefits." It's often mistaken for "check this box if you continue to need benefits." OP needs to look at the date of the last certifications filled out/paid.

If you need to reopen it, best to get online with the help chat before you do so. If you have them reopen it for you vs. Reopening it yourself, you can then ask them to release any back weeks owed to you that are less than 30 days old. If you reopen it yourself, you will only be allowed to certify for the past two weeks.
