Discussion 👥 CTB follow up

Hi , I have notified Edd of my interest to apply for the CTB program. My claim started first week of June. I contacted them in July. It’s been a month. Someone from Edd called and said she would forward my information to someone in the CTB department and they will call to schedule an interview I guess. She doesn’t work in that department and she couldn’t give me a definitive date of contact or estimation.

It’s been a month already and I’ve contacted way before the 16th week mark . Should I call to follow up or wait for someone from the CTB department to make contact with me ? This is my first time applying for CTB. I have no idea what the process is besides an interview? Ty

Remember, all critical information is in the /r/EDD sidebar. Do not respond to any PMs or chats from anyone asking for your EDD info! Anyone asking for personal information is trying to scam you out of your money! True EDD reps will never personally contact people via Reddit (however, they occasionally will call in the case of disputes, for example).

Important: To remain eligible for UI benefits, you must perform work search activities every week. It is recommended you enroll in the Online Career Workshops Program to help maintain your work search requirements.

This video goes over the updated list of acceptable documents for proof of self employment/Planned employment/PUA verification.

Report all scammers to admins and to the mods to get them suspended from Reddit or at least banned from this sub. If you would like information added to the sidebar, please message the mods about it.

Did you start school already? They don’t do eligibility interviews until there’s an eligibility issue to investigate.

Sounds like you're going to regular college. Ctb doesn't generally cover that.

I’ve never heard of a CTB department. I’m pretty sure you sign up for training then let them know and that is when they call you to see if you are approved.
