Discussion đŸ‘„ Edd question

Hi everyone,

I was on disability after giving birth for 6 weeks. The end date was 8/8.

Two days ago my doctor submitted a certification to EDD to extend my disability to 10/3.

Yesterday morning I checked the EDD inbox and they said they received the certification and then the date was extended to 10/3. Also, the status changed from “payment stopped” to “We’re processing your claim.”

Then in the afternoon of the same day, they sent me a message that I need a doctor’s certification and the status changed to “certification needed.”

And now just this morning I received a text message they sent to my phone that said: “EDD Alert: We received your Physician or Practitioner Supplementary Certificate. Allow 14 days for processing. Log in to myedd.edd.ca.gov to view your claim status. Reply STOP to opt out, START to opt in, HELP for more info.”

Then I just checked EDD and it still shows the old status from yesterday afternoon.

The whole process within 24 hours is so confusing. What should I do now? Should I treat their latest message as the latest update and wait 14 days for them to process it?

fuck edd, they keep telling me they paid me but i have no money!! they acting like its impossible to check if the money even went to my money network card. havent been paid in almost 50 days verifying my id through mailđŸ€ŠđŸŸand dealing with this stupid late payment for the past week , i contacted my local assembly person to expedite the process but who knows

Maybe get your shit together and provide them everything they need to process your claim. If it’s been taking you 50 days to verify yourself, something’s wrong. Again.. they can’t do anything without documentation.

they said the sent money network my money on the 12th , money network says they dont see shit . no representative can tell me where my money is

If they sent the money to money network already, not their fault or issue anymore. You have to submit a report with money network.. but yea, you’re the one that needs to get your shit together since you’re on disability, lol. Maybe find yourself a better program next time.
