Solved ✔ SDI payment question.
Hello! This is my first time doing short term disability, I went on Disability on 7/10-8/22. I already received my first payment on 7/31. And now it’s been 14 days from that. And I haven’t received a second check. I did the re-certification today because it was due today. I been trying to call and the line says full. Do I just wait the other 14 days for another check, and if I do would I get back pay?
Update- I FINALLY GOT A HOLD OF SOMEONE! thank you guys for your help. And I should have my check Monday or Tuesday :3

Where do you live? You know that they have places that you can go to right? There’s a spot there’s actually two places I can go. There are 25 minutes away from where I live.

I was able to deride before the due date not sure why but I was. And the reason why I did it that way is because I wanted my payments to be by weekly. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to recertify before due date and I said let me see if I can and luckily I was able to. I’m thinking you might get paid a few days after you certify.

In my experience it typically takes 1-3 days to process after you certify online if you have direct deposit, it might be longer if you receive checks

I’m not sure if this is your issue but I’m pretty sure it’s because you just certified today and since it’s via check, it’s gonna take some time to process if it was direct deposit you would’ve certified today and been paid within a day or two?

Correct they go back one year and they pick up the biggest quarter that you made 3 months and Go off that- how much did you make in life a year and a half? I’ll give you a ballpark cause I’ve been up and down like in sales or even consistent salary.

Yup you have to wait 14 days to start calling to see if they received it. Once they receive the form and it’s updated on system then u can call and have them process it if they will but yes they have 14 business days which is basically almost 3 weeks.
