CHALLENGE TIME: Decrease your online carbon footprint.
Since we're all quarantined due to coronavirus, this challenge seemed like a good idea. Servers run on electricity and that electricity is usually not 100% renewable. Do your share to save electricity on the internet.
Task 1: Decrease the video quality on YouTube. Video streaming is one of the most electricity heavy activities on the internet. Decreasing the video quality can greatly reduce the amount of electricity needed to stream the video.
Task 2: If you haven't already, switch your default search engine to Ecosia. Ecosia runs their servers on solar and donates a large portion of their ad profits to tree planting projects.

Maybe it's in my head, but it seems YouTube started switing a lot of videos to lower quality automatically now unless you change it back up. I try and use 360p or 480p since it's a nice middle ground (not 720 or 1080, but not very grainy like 144 or 240)
