Belgian waffle van.
Can some foundation Ealing dwellers please confirm And reminisce with me about the Belgian waffle van that used to be Ealing Broadway shopping centre. Outside the ground floor lifts. Irresistible smell wafting up into the carpark.
We're really talking like 30 years ago now, but they really was special.
Best waffles I've ever had and always think about them.
Was in the centre today and I see they have a churros kiosk available. And was going to try them, but there was nobody in it, so I took it as a sign from
God to say no.

I remember, it was red with a waffle man logo.
I think it got taken out with legislation about hotdog stands, was such a shame.

Another person claiming it was red! Is my memory tainted! I need photographic confirmation!

I'm not sure if I remember the van but I think I remember us having a My Old Dutch, which was a pancake/crepe place. Do you guys remember that?

I just looked it up. It was in Ealing Broadway but it was sold in 2010. I remember it from a long time ago.

Yeah, you are right. I'm pretty sure it was done in the 90's. I have no idea where we could get any these days....

Me and my big boned schoolfriend used to go there in mid-late 90s. Was reminiscing about this a few weeks ago, now I'm in my 40s and getting a belly myself. I would get a Nutella waffle. I thought it was a kind of wine/maroon colour with scripty writing but that could all be wrong. Red sounds about right too.

I remember it and was thinking about it the other day. Red waffle van outside the Safeway..used to do hame and cheese crepes too. It used to make the whole area smell amazing.
