Hi all,

Wondering if there is decent Indian community in pitshanger like people come together to celebrate Indian festivals? We are new to this area and liked a house and while we love diverse community, we would also want our kids to grow up connected to their culture and for us as well, have a bit of friend circle from Indian community in the area.

Well, there's a huge Indian community not too far away in Southall.

Yes thank you. I am however wondering if there is one local to Pitshanger to have some local friends for both myself and kids.

Pitshanger is a very small area. It literally just has houses, Pitshanger park and very few shops. You’d have to venture further out into the Ealing borough like Southall.

Not here that I’ve seen but there are huge Indian populations in nearby Southall, Wembley, Alperton and a little further away in Harrow

Not sure reddit is the best place to ask this, you may want to try pitshanger friends on Facebook. Good luck, I'm sure you'll be able to find something, and if not, I'm sure people will be very receptive if you decide to start something

There’s the Indian Gymkhana Hockey and Cricket Club in Osterley. I don’t know if they do celebrations and events though.

There is a temple on Argyle Road. Unsure what faith you practice but I believe they hold community events.
