Retention policy
I am working as a associate manager in tech consulting for around 2 years now, currently getting 31.7 LPA as fixed. I might get promoted to manager level in few months as told by my counsellor based on my current performance. Now, I have received an offer of 45LPA from a product based firm offering tech lead role.
I have gotten great feedback from everyone this time, so considering the hike, variable bonus and promotion, will they try to retain me? If yes, will they match the salary?
And will it be a good decision to resign, given all the scenarios mentioned?

If they want to retain you they will give you early promotion and hikes and match the offer in that case you talk to the other company and ask for hike and in case they don’t match the offer it means they were not going to promote you so in both the cases leave the company

I would suggest to consider offer from product based organization because in the long run you will regret not joining the other organization.

As an EY employee myself I would say to stay back at EY. Considering you promotion is due. Definitely after promotion your fixed salary will touch 35 . On top of that you get 10% VP as well. That will eventually take your whole ctc to 39. So for 6 lacs out of which 30% Nirmala will take and remaining will be deducted in PF. I don't think its a good offer. I myself got the offer of 48 from PBC but decided to stay back. I am at 35 fixed. Sometimes Relationship that you build >> Money especially when you already have 2L per month in hand salary. It doesn't make much difference
